Solved Random BSOD: System_Service_Exception playing titanfall

Hello,

So, i got a relative new (<1 year old) home build PC. There weren't any problems during the first couple of months. But now, i got these bsod's while playing Titanfall, viewing a movie or video on YouTube. So I thought there was something wrong with my video card or it's driver. So I ran verifier.exe to see what could be wrong, restarted my PC and that's when i ran into a BSOD-loop, with DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Not a problem, If i could enable safe mode in the recovery menu that shows up after a few bsod's. I could try and solve the problem with google. The problem was that my pc didn't react to my keyboard at all. So after many reboots, i decided to clear my CMOS on my motherboard. With success, because my keyboard did work again, and i could reboot again, without safe mode with verifier on. So I assumed my problem was solved, and disabled verifier. that was 2 days ago, but today, after a whole day working for school on my pc, I needed so relax time and decided to watch a video on YouTube. And that's when i got another bsod with System_Service_Exception :( View attachment 52964

The first driver highlighted in RED i.e. "NTIOLIB_X64.sys" is very famous to cause BSOD problems. I would suggest you to remove any MSI Software which you have installed on the system.

Furthermore, the Driver Verifier has blamed the e22w8x64.sys which is your Killer Network Driver. Kindly see if you are still getting the crashes if you follow the below workaround -

Hello,
First of all, thanks for replying to my thread and putting effort in solving my problems :)
Ok, so I uninstalled msi live update, and before you replied to my thread, I also found out it was my network driver, so I uninstalled my killer network driver, and installed a new version from their main site, instead of using MSI live update. I think it worked because I didn't get any bsod's for a while now. Also i think the reason driver verifier didn't crash my system was because I hadn't plugged in my Ethernet cable (because i cleared my cmos). Regarding the MSI workaround, I've done that earlier a while ago when I had the same problems.
I let you know when there's another bsod :)

I see that the NTIOLIB_X64.sys driver is still being loaded. Furthermore, disable the NVStreamSvc.exe or NVIDIA Streaming Service. Kindly disable any MSI Services running in the Service Window. Also disable the NVIDIA Streaming Service.

Let me know how it goes ^_^

Hi!
Thanks for helping again, I checked my services and didn't find anything from msi, but i did find a map called MSI with some content about msi afterburner an Live Update so I just deleted it entirely. I also disabled Nvidia Streaming Service.
Lastly, I did got another bsod, this time DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (wdf01000.sys)
here's the file View attachment 53219
And again another one KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE

You have got the Killer Network which is known to cause problems and cause the Bugcheck 0x139 as well which we have in this case. Kindly follow this link and remove the software which is causing the problem -
https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=178064.0

Also, if the above does not help , kindly start with the Hardware Diagnostics over here -
Hardware Diagnostics
and post back the results.

Let me know how it goes ^_^

Hi,
I've done all you said, and it seems that the problem is solved, I've only had one more bsod after taking all those measures, but It had something to do with my NVidia driver. Turns out the last driver update for my GPU was not a very stable one. So i downgraded it to an earlier version. I'll wait a bit longer to make sure there aren't any issues left. Anyways, thanks for your help :)

Update: I got a new bsod. Until now everything went fine, and I got this one while playing titanfall.
The error code was KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED(dxgmms1.sys)
Here's the dump file View attachment 53569
I'll check out the hardware tests now

Hi Potatocrisps ^_^,

I am sorry for the delayed response as I was out of town for the past 4 days. I have analysed your dump files and below has been provided an analysis of the same for informative purposes :-

You are right about the display driver being the culprit this time.

I would suggest you to uninstall the current version of the driver using the Display Driver Uninstaller from this **LINK** and then install the driver from the Driver CD which came with your Graphics Card.

Let me know how it goes ^_^

Hi,
It has been a while now since I got a bsod, so this method seems to work, I'll wait a bit longer hoping it stays this way :)

Glad to hear that. In case of any further problem, do not hesitate to post back ^_^
