BSOD at random intervals

I tried to get all the files however I noticed there was some errors when issuing commands such as tasklist (I was running as administrator)

The crashes have occurred ever since I built this computer, been re-installed several times (windows 8/8.1) and has a new GPU as to what it used to have.

There are 3 ways I can BSOD/crash.
1: It will successfully show a BSOD screen and collect data (uncommon)
2: It will just reboot without warning (common)
3: It will just hang and audio stops and no input works (most common)

What causes it
It sometimes happens if I leave my room for a minute, I'll come back and it will be on the start-up screen.
If I'm playing a game or when I first used Folding@Home
I noticed today using HandleBrake if I encode using x264 my PC will crash 99% of the time, ffmpeg4 it doesn't.

After a crash there's a high liklihood that applications I have open will lose their settings for example Google Chrome, Puush, Steam.

What have I tried so far?
Previously I have re-installed windows several times
memtest
sfc /scannow
Re-installed AMD drivers after using the clean-up tool I found on these forums.

I know you're not meant to post if your windows is not up to date - however yesterday and today I tried to install the updates, upon restarting I get past the Windows splash screen and then my right monitor will flash white once or twice then both will be black. I can see num-lock flicker off-on every few seconds as well as the power icon on my main monitor and the button for ease of access. No mouse or anything else is displayed.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Sorry for the delay in responding. There just aren't that many people who do BSOD analysis, so at times we get a bit overwhelmed!

Do your still need help with this problem?

Yes, I use this (Firefox mostly, w/IE next most)
    Antivirus
    Windows Defender and Windows Firewall
    Other Info
    I'm handsome and a snappy dresser :0)
That's absolutely fine.
I haven't been playing any games nor been doing anything stressful, so no BSOD's have appeared, however I do still crash from using the HandleBrake program.

And when I use Windows Update I still get the black screen for login with the flickering num lock light, regardless if I boot into safe mode or not.

One thing I should probably note, is I do have the enable overclock enable for my GPU so that I can toggle the temperature for the fan to kick in, however when that is disabled I found it was more prone to BSOD'ing

Any help would be much appreciated.

EDIT: Just had a freeze from scrolling down my Facebook feed

Please do this for the reports that I need:
MSINFO32:
Please go to Start and type in "msinfo32.exe" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Save the report as an .nfo file, then zip up the .nfo file and upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.
Also, save a copy as a .txt file and include it also (it's much more difficult to read, but we have greater success in getting the info from it).

If you're having difficulties with the format, please open an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt and type (or copy/paste) "msinfo32 /nfo %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\TEST.NFO" (without the quotes) and press Enter. Then navigate to Desktop to retrieve the TEST.NFO file. If you have difficulties with making this work, please post back. Then zip up the .nfo file and upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.

systeminfo:
Please open an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt and type (or copy/paste) "systeminfo.exe >%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\systeminfo.txt" (without the quotes) and press Enter. Then navigate to Desktop to retrieve the syteminfo.txt file. If you have difficulties with making this work, please post back. Then zip up the .txt file and upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.

This looks to be a video problem, and it could also be a hardware problem.
Start with these free hardware diagnostics (start with the video tests): Hardware Diagnostics

AMD OverDrive (AODDriver2.sys) is either a stand-alone application, or a component of the AMD VISION Engine Control Center. This driver is known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems.
NOTE: these symptoms were from the previous release of OverDrive. The new release uses the same driver name, but is dated from 4 November 2013.
Please un-install all AMD/ATI video stuff from Control Panel...Programs...Un-install a program
Then, download (but DO NOT install) a fresh copy of the ATI drivers from Global Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD (in the upper right corner of the page)
Use this procedure to install the DRIVER ONLY: ATI video cards - DRIVER ONLY installation procedure - Sysnative Forums

If the device (AODDriver or AODDriver4.01) remains a problem, open Device Manager, select the "View" item.
Then select "Show hidden devices" and scroll down to the Non-Plug and Play Drivers section.
Locate the AODDriver entry, right click on it and select "Un-install". Reboot for changes to take affect.
Sometimes the driver remains and continues to cause BSOD's. If this is the case for you, post back and we'll give further instructions for safely removing it.

If overclocking, please stop. Remove the overclock and return the system to stock/standard values while we're troubleshooting. Once the system is stable again, feel free to resume the overclocking.

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).
Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): New link (15 Aug 2012): DuplexSecure - Downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).
Alternate link: Disk-Tools.com
Manual procedure here: Registry and SPTD problems | DAEMON Pro Help

Please also remove HotSpotShield - it is known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems.

Sorry, but I'm late for a doctor's appt. More to follow later on today.
I haven't screened the following info, so please don't concentrate on it:

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Hope all is well at the doctors!

EDIT: Heh, about a minute after posting this I attempted to launch the Eclipse Java IDE and my PC hung when the splash screen popped up.

Thanks for the good wishes - the doctor says that I'm doing well. But he dilated my eyes, so I'm having a bit of blurry vision!

FWIW - at times, when we're fixing BSOD's - the BSOD's will stop and will be replaced by hangs or black screen errors. This is a sign that we're making progress. Unfortunately, the hangs and black screen errors are generally more difficult to troubleshoot.

Please also remove AMD OverDrive (using the instructions above).

Your C: drive has 12% free space; your D: drive has 6% free space. Windows likes 15% free space in order to perform stuff "behind the scenes" without adversely affecting the system's performance. Please free up 15% on ALL hard drives (you can get away with 10% on larger drives and won't notice a large performance penalty)

Please remove Gigabyte EasyTune (ET6). Also, if installed, please remove Gigabyte EasySaver. Both are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Please note the drivers below that date from before the release of Windows 8.1 (17 Oct 2013) - check to see that each and every one is compatible w/Windows 8.1 (at the manufacturer's website). If not, you must either remove the device and it's software - or locate a Windows 8.1 compatible update on the web. Removing some drivers may make the system unstable - so if you're unable to find updates, post back for info on the one's that can/cannot be safely removed.

The drivers that are [DEL]struckout[/DEL] don't have updates available (AFAIK).
DO NOT delete them, just leave them be.

Sorry for the very late reply,
I've managed to get rid of the all apart from VirtualAudio & On/Off charge.
The best I could find for VirtualAudio would be a Windows Update, but currently that upsets my system so what would you advise for that?
[DEL]Also the On/Off charge I have won't let me uninstall it, and it's an older version to that I can find on their website. However, when I installed the latest version I noted down the installation directory, went there after uninstalling and couldn't find any on/off related files although the older version still shows up in Programs and Features.[/DEL]
Whilst On/Off charge still shows in my Programs and Features, the folder it points to is empty and the driver doesn't show up in driverquery.

Lastly, I ran FurMark, my GPU fan kicks in at about 90C, so after that it averages between 93 & 95 degrees Celsius.

Also, I used to have a mouse issue where sometimes my mouse would look like the following (http://www.jonathansharman.com.au/uploads/cursordefect-01.jpg) but managed to stop it from happening by setting my main display to 1080p in the Catalyst software, would you happen to have any ideas on how to rectify this? Or should I just wait till the main issue is solved.

I'm about to start running Prime95 now

Edit 2: Prime95 is still running, so far no issues. I have however remembered a few times I 'almost' crashed, I got the same symptoms of my PC locking up for a few seconds, however following that the screen went black, then to my desktop with a notification from Windows saying my graphics driver had crashed or become unresponsive or something. If that helps in anyway.

I'm uncertain about the Virtual Audio. I'd suggest setting a System Restore point, and then trying it.
If it messes up your system you can fall back to the system restore point that you set.

Furmark results sound good

Cursor problem looks similar to the problem that I have. I'm using a defective HDMI cable to display my laptop onto an external TV
I'd leave this alone for now, as I think that the problems with the video card may affect it.

I'd wait on the results from the Prime95 test and then on the next BSOD. With those we should then be able to figure out where the system is headed. Please zip up and upload the contents of C:\Windows\Minidump after then next BSOD (you may have to copy it to your Desktop in order to zip it up).

Good luck!

A fatal error is just that - fatal! :(
That means that, most likely, you have a hardware problem.

Prime95 primarily tests RAM, CPU cache and the memory controller
Memory controller is in the CPU on the AMD FX series of processors.

I can't recall, have you run MemTest yet? If not, please do: Memory Diagnostics
Also, please run some of these free CPU testers: Hardware Diagnostics

For MemTest I did 1 pas for the first stick, and 3 for the second stick in it's slot. Neither has any errors
Tried to do a 'Hot CPU Tester Pro' for past two nights running before checking the first stick over 2+ passes. However both nights my computer would lock up about 1-2 hours in with Complex Matrix almost finished. Will try some other tests tonight.

Run a minimum of 3 passes with all sticks in their proper slots (with MemTest)
I wonder if it'd be better to run it overnight just to be sure.

I presume that complex matrix is one of the tests that Hot CPU Tester uses?
If so, then I'd suspect the CPU :(
If possible, try other stress tests that focus on the CPU.

If you choose to replace the CPU or the RAM - make sure that you get it from a place that will allow you to return it for a refund (just in case it's not needed).

Good luck!

I'll run the memtest again tonight with all sticks in and see how it goes.

Erm for the Hot CPU Tester I'm using the diagnostic part and it runs multiple tests at once so I can't really be sure which test is causing it. I'll try some others out too.

And will do, thanks :)

Edit: Just launched the hot cpu tester and checked the log, it couldn't read SMBIOS data and shows my total/available phyiscal memory as -1 bytes and my OS as Windows Server 2007 Business :p
