I believe I managed to get the crash dumps up and running again. Here's the zip of the SF tool, if you need the full /memory dump let me know. The Hardware Diagnostics are still showing a perfectly functioning drive.

    Hi Pharcyde ^_^,

I have analysed your dump files and below has been provided an analysis of the same for informative purposes.
    Code:

Unfortunately, for this bug check there is almost no information from which I can conclude anything. According to WinDBG - "A thread was terminated before it had freed all its AutoBoost lock entries. This is typically caused when a thread never released a lock it previously acquired (e.g. by relying on another thread to release it), or if the thread did not supply a consistent set of flags to lock package APIs."

The stack is empty and any other information is not saved in the Dump file.

I would require the Complete Dump File to analyse. Kindly upload it (Make sure it is from the latest crash) and post back with the link.

Kindly make sure that the Firmware of your SSD is up-to-date from this **LINK**.

Let me know how it goes ^_^

Hello. Sorry it took so long to get back, I was out of town for the weekend. Unfortunately there's no way for me to upload the full dump file because C:\Windows\Minidump is empty. This might explain the results of the last SF Diag run. The only thing I can think is to attempt to force the computer to crash. If the crash dump isn't written then, what would you suggest?

My Samsung 840 Pro is up to day and running the latest firmware.

Rather then edit the last post I'll leave it to reflect the issue I had.

I did manage to get a crash dumps to write to the C:\Windows\Minidump This is from the most recent crash, hopefully it's the full file and not partial. Zipped and attached.

Edit: About 90 minutes after this post I experienced another crash. I have uploaded the dump file for that as well. The larger file is for the first dump, the smaller for the second.

    Hi Pharcyde ^_^,

Unfortunately, the dump files aren't revealing much. Could you please upload the Complete Memory Dump which is located at "C:\Windows\Memory.DMP"
Kindly make sure that you ZIP up the Dump file before uploading it to a file hoster like Mediafire.

If there is no Complete Dump file then kindly make sure that the Windows Partition has more than 25GB of HDD as free and your system is configured to generate a complete memory dump.

    Follow this Guide - https://www.sophos.com/en-us/support...se/111474.aspx

    Hi Pharcyde ^_^,

I (Thanks Jared!) have analysed your dump file and below has been provided an analysis of the same for informative purposes :-
    Code:
    2: kd> !devobj ffffe00075aaede0 f
    Device object (ffffe00075aaede0) is for:
      \DRIVER\VERIFIER_FILTER DriverObject ffffe000703c3e60
    Current Irp 00000000 RefCount 0 Type 0000002a Flags 00002000
    Dacl ffffc10210ef9281 DevExt ffffe00075aaef30 DevObjExt ffffe00075aaef98
    ExtensionFlags (0xc0000000) DOE_BOTTOM_OF_FDO_STACK, DOE_DESIGNATED_FDO
    Characteristics (0x00000100) FILE_DEVICE_SECURE_OPEN
    AttachedTo (Lower) ffffe00075aa8af0 \Driver\ScpVBus
    Device queue is not busy.
Apparently this Dump file blames your "Scarlet.Crush Productions Scp Dual Shock 3 Virtual Bus Driver". Kindly update this driver. If no update is present then try removing the driver.

By the way why don't you use the MotionInJoy?

Now that is very odd. I downloaded DS4Windows some time back. I wasn't aware it was using drivers for the DS3. First time I'm hearing about motioninjoy but it looks like it's DS3 compatible only.

Unfortunately I'll never if that was the cause, but I know what to avoid in the future. I finally broke down and completely reinstalled Windows 8 the other day. Thankfully most of my games and media or on other drives so it wasn't that much of a hassle. I'm going to go ahead and mark the thread as solved unless a mod wants to delete it. Thanks for all your help

    Hi Pharcyde ^_^,

I never knew that there was such a project for the DS4 as well. So, has the issue been resolved?

In case of any further problems, do not hesitate to post back ^_^.

Unfortunately I've ran into another NTOSKRNL.EXE error. There's no possible way that's it's ScpVBus related as this is a fresh install. I have included the minidump, let me know if you require the full file.
