Random error messages appears in BSODSs

Hi all,

I have a Samsung R580 laptop and bad things appeared two days ago and continues until now.

The first thing happened is my computer freezes while I'm doing normal things with it. No way for Ctrl-Alt-Del, no way for soft reset. All I could do is Power off the computer, and then turn it on. After turning on, I saw that the system could not boot but stopping at POST screen. If I Ctrl-Alt-Del at that time, it can boot to Windows. If I let the system freezes again, the procedure returns. If I shut down Windows by myself, the next time I turn on the laptop is OK, no freezing at boot time but freezing in Windows will be a certain fact.

The symptom returns after some random time. Maybe 1 hour, maybe more or less.

Initially I thought it was the cooling system problem. I had the laptop to service, they clean it carefully and the heating problem could be bypassed.

Nevertheless, the problem still came after I brought the laptop home.

I wanna seek for minidump file. Things I did to have it are as follow

The OS did not ask me to restart but I did it to avoid any complicated things.

The crashes still occurred and after a long time waiting, I saw this BSOD screen

After a long time waiting (the record of waiting is the amount of 5 hours 30 mins), the collecting process is still 0%. No minidump file found.

I formatted the C: partition and reinstall Windows 8.1. Just Windows and Firefox, no more softwares. The BSOD problem still occur, but the error code changed to CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIE. Still no minidump file.

Memtest86+ shows no errors. As the below picture

I need advices from you to solve my problem. Thanks all.

FWIW - if you don't have a pagefile on your OS drive, you may have problems collecting a memory dump.
I'd suggest putting one on there temporarily to see if it collects the dump file then.

Your Samsung HDD shows a caution. Please ensure that you run a hard drive diagnostic on it. I'd suggest the SeaGate SeaTools test (links are here: Hard Drive Diagnostic Procedure)

Ensure that you have the latest firmware for your Crucial SSD. The M4 model had some BSOD issues early on - they were generally fixed with a firmware upgrade.

Please run the rest of these free diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics

Please provide this information so we can provide a complete analysis (from the Pinned Topic at the top of the forum): http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-cra...e-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html Please use Option 1 as it provides Event Viewer logs.

Dear usasma,

I've had my samsung hdd checked and this is the result:

I also recognized that the heat is a true system my laptop had to face with. When I ran Memtest86+ in multi-core mode it exceed 100+ Celcius degrees and the system auto restart. Ran Memtest86+ in normal mode (multi-core disabled) results in more than 8 hours stable with no errors found.

Until now the system ran stable at 52-53 degrees without random rebooting. I can say that it is running well, except for only one circumstance: Running Total Conquest for Windows 8.1 Modern UI increases the temperature and the system may reboot if i don't use my fan point directly to the laptop. What could I do to solve this?

CHKDSK is not a physical hard drive test. It only tests the file system on the hard drive.
Also, CHKDSK made some repairs to the file system. This could be caused by physical problems with the drive or from other things.
Please run the Seatools diagnostic that I suggested in my previous post.

If running MemTest86+ caused your system to overheat, then I'd have to wonder about the cooling of the system.
If you're not able to open the laptop and check the cooling, then you'll probably want to have it checked by a professional. If it's under warranty, have them check it. If not, then have a PC shop check it out for you.

Also:
- make sure that you've blown out all the vents with canned air (DO NOT use an air compressor or vacuum as it can damage the system)
- purchase a laptop cooling pad to see if that will help keep the temps down.
