Random BSOD ntoskrnl.exe+153ca0

Hi guys.
I just got my laptop from a warranty repair and after a few hours (after I reinstalled windows etc) I randomly got a BSOD. It was only one so far and I had my laptop on whole night downloading games off steam and origin and had no errors at all, but still I wonder what could cause it? I haven't tried to run any games or heavy software like 3DS max yet but I wonder if it's possible to detect the issue already?
I read on some forum that Catalyst's 14.4 version can cause this so I downgraded to 13.2.
Minidump attached!
thank you!

Similar issue, although my computer screen just goes black. The only way to recover is to hard reboot. One time the minidump blamed BasicRender.sys, but the other 3 times I've caught a minidump they blame ntoskrnl.exe+153ca0. Here is a link to my minidump:

Hope someone can help us.

I understand that this is a very important problem for you and that you'd like it solved as soon as is possible. But there are other circumstances that you may not be aware of. Please read this pinned topic about waiting for a response: http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-crashes-debugging/48165-have-you-been-waiting-response.html

ajthemacboy - please start your own topic so that you can get the individual assistance that your problem deserves.

- Please provide this information so we can provide a complete analysis (from the Pinned Topic at the top of the forum): http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-cra...e-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html Please use Option 1 as it provides Event Viewer logs.

The most likely thing to blame here is a USB device - and that's most likely a Bluetooth device also. Are you using a device like this? If so, what is it (it should be listed in the reports that I requested above).

Your Bluetooth drivers date from Win8 - and some Win8 bluetooth drivers are known to cause BSOD's on Win8.1 systems.
Please update them to the latest, Win8.1 compatible version available from the manufacturer's support website.

Please also update any other Win8.1 drivers that you may find there - particularly the Fingerprint Sensor and the wired networking driver.

thank you very much for your reply! I haven't got another BSOD so I reckon it was indeed an isolated case. I didn't install most of drivers at that time (IE Chipset). And like I said I downgraded to elder version of catalyst for now and no BSODs. Not sure the exact cause but I think the bluetooth device you mention could INDEED be the cause:
I have Killer Wireless and I read somewhere that they can cause BSODs? No Bluetooth devices were connected to my laptop at a time (actually none were connected ever).

Killer Network Manager had caused BSOD's a while back, but updating to a version from 2014 seems to have fixed most of the problems for most people.

A device doesn't have to be physically connected. The driver loads when Windows boots - so it's still in there affecting things while the system is running. And, OTOH, if it's not doing anything, why are traces of it showing up in the memory dump files? That makes it suspicious to me, so that's why I suggest updating it.

Good luck!
