    Windows 8 CP

    Hi guys,

I have the same problem, whenever I open a browser that displays video (youtube for example), occasionally it will pink screen and lock the system up. When it pink screens the video basically goes pink and whatever was displayed kind of slides to one side and goes fuzzy, like a TV station with all of the gray snow on screen.

I've had this problem happen to me in Vista too with a different set of hardware. The problem seems to occur more if I have tabbed browsing open with multiple videos queued up.

    Windows 8 CP build 8250
    i7-3930k CPU (not overclocked yet)
    Corsair 16 GB RAM DDR3 1600
    AsRock X79 Extreme4 motherboard
MSI Twin Frozr II GTX560 Ti 1G DDR3 Ram Video card
Corsair 120g Force GT SSD system drive

Currently using the latest drivers I have for everything, including the Nvidia Win 8 drivers for my video card.

    Any help appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Draz

That's because you didn't mess up your Windows 7 the same way you did to Windows 8 - or - because you didn't do something necessary for Windows 8 that you did do (or factory did) for 7.

Try turning off GPU Rendering in Internet Explorer !

Had the same problem with my GTX 460. Turning off Hardware Acceleration solved it completely !

That is not the way to fix a machine at all. That is taking your video card and making it like it practically does not exist, in the scenario when it would be applicable.

Please do not push unwell solutions, and let people that know what they're doing do what they do.

I read that this is a common problem with Nvidia Drivers when used with windows 8.

    &

By turning off GPU Rendering is just makeshift solution till somebody finds a real way out.

So if somebody wants a temporary solution no harm in trying (Better than facing Pink Screen).
