Random restarts, Kernal-Power, Event ID 41, Task Cat 63

Hello everyone,

I've recently built a new system using the X99 platform and have been experiencing a problem. Every once and a while, my PC will just randomly restart with no BSOD screen. I have ran Prime95 on Blend mode for 8 hours with no errors and haven't been able to replicate the restarts.

Any tips are welcome! Thanks!

It appears that you initiated the crash manually. You pressed the key Combo mistakenly. The below registry keys must be set in order to enable the manual crash. Please follow the below steps in the QUOTE.
  1. With PS/2 keyboards, you must enable the keyboard-initiated crash in the registry. In the registry keyHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\i8042prt\Parameters, Delete the value named CrashOnCtrlScroll.
  2. With USB keyboards, you must enable the keyboard-initiated crash in the registry. In the registry keyHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\kbdhid\Parameters, Delete the value named CrashOnCtrlScroll.

Let me know how it goes ^_^.

Hello and thanks for your reply!

The manual crash was intended as the memory dump was never generated for the random reboots. Still having the same issue with no memory dump being generated.

Hello KetchupNinja ^_^,

Dump files are only generated in the case of Blue Screens. A random restart won't make the system create a Dump file.

Kernel Power Event ID 41 is related to Power Events.

Could you please download Core Temp from this **LINK** and note the temperature readings when idle, under load?
