Okay so yesterday, I was using my laptop (Asus k45vm) and things started getting laggy. It got to the point were I had to restart it and after that was when everything went downhill. I loaded up to the Windows logo and the spinning dots, didn't get further than that. So I restarted again and mashed the f8 key (I later tested out all the keys), laptop scanned and "fixed" the problem. Still didn't work. So then in a fit of rage, I pulled the battery out, it loaded to the logo screen a few times after, but now right after the Asus boot screen, the screen goes black (without any cursor). F8 (and the rest) doesn't work anymore (no more boot screen). But if I wait for 5 min , a blue screen with:Recovery
Your PC needs to be repaired

The Boot Configuration Date file is missing some required information.
File:\BCD
Error Code: 0xc000000d

You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. If you don't have and installation media, contact your system admin or PC manufacturer.
And then it shuts down in a minute.
So I created a bootable usb with win 8, Fat 32, uefi and all that , but it still goes to the black screen followed by the error.
At this point I doubt that I can get into advanced boot options.
Someone please help me, contacting Asus is not an option.
Even though I boot the laptop with the usb plugged in, it still says :You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. If you don't have and installation media, contact your system admin or PC manufacturer.
Help me I can't wipe my hard disk either, no back ups :(
Thanks in advance :)

The c000000d error is an invalid parameter was passed.
As it's related to your Boot Configuration Data, so the presumption here is that there may be a failing hard drive.

As such, the most important thing at this point is to attempt to backup your data.
You'll have to boot from a bootable disk/USB drive and then copy the files (if you can) to a removable drive.
If consistently unable to boot to a bootable disk/USB drive, then you'll have to remove the hard drive and attempt to slave it to another system in order to backup your data.

Why isn't contacting Asus an option?

Once the data is saved, then you can start with these bootable diagnostics: Initial Hardware Diagnostics
