Please provide this information so we can provide a complete analysis (from the Pinned Topic at the top of the forum): http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-cra...e-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html Please use Option 1 as it provides Event Viewer logs. Make sure that you let the app run for at least 15 minutes (or until the app itself says that it's done).

The first step here is to check in Device Manager for the xHCI controller. If you find that it has errors, right click on it and select "Uninstall". If presented with a check box to delete the driver software, please check it. Then click on the "OK" box to remove it.
Reboot and see if the xHCI device still has problems. If not, wait to see if the system BSOD's. Finally, let us know what happens.

Update the drivers for your HSPADataCard USB Modem/Serial Device to the latest, Win8.1 compatible version. Your HSPADataCardusbnmea.sys driver dates from 2011 and is likely not compatible w/Win8.1

Please note the drivers below that date from before the release of Windows 8.1 (17 Oct 2013) - check to see that each and every one is compatible w/Windows 8.1 (at the manufacturer's website). If not, you must either remove the device and it's software - or locate a Windows 8.1 compatible update on the web. Removing some drivers may make the system unstable - so if you're unable to find updates, post back for info on the one's that can/cannot be safely removed.

The drivers that are [DEL]struckout[/DEL] don't have updates available (AFAIK).

If all of this doesn't stop the BSOD's, please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

You've found the xHCI device and it doesn't have problems (so you don't need to uninstall it).

BUT - You should probably uninstall the 2 unknown devices and reboot in order for Windows to try reinstalling them.
I may be able to tell more about them if you provide the reports that I asked for previously (here's the link again: http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-cra...e-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html Please use Option 1 as it provides Event Viewer logs.)

If you've already run this app previously, the upload of it didn't contain all of the needed files. Please rerun the app and let it run for at least 15 minutes (or until the app itself says that it's done). Then zip it up and upload it with your next post. FYI - the files that I am looking for in it are:
- all files that end in .dmp
- MSINFO32.nfo
- systeminfo.txt

School comes first. I will be here when you return (I am notified by email when you reply to the topic).

Only 58 Windows Updates installed. Most systems have 70 to 90 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

Don't worry about the specific number, it's just important that you have checked and installed any updates that were available (and didn't experience any errors).

Windows likes 15% free space in order to perform stuff "behind the scenes" without adversely affecting the system's performance. Please free up 15% on ALL hard drives (you can get away with 10% on most drives and won't notice a large performance penalty)

Please install the drivers for these devices:
Not Available ROOT\WPD\0000 The drivers for this device are not installed.
Not Available ACPI\HPQ6000\3&33FD14CA&0 The drivers for this device are not installed.
The first device may be a webcam, but there's not much information about it on the web. The second device is most likely an HP 3D DriveGuard, but could also be the HP QuickLaunch buttons software. I'd suggest updating ALL of the drivers that are available for your system. This appears to me to be the link for your system: http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/si...en#Driver - Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices

First use the HP Support Assistant to find most updates. Keep a record of them as the next step is to visit the HP Support website and check all the driver to be sure they are updated. If not (or if in doubt), update them all.

Then recheck Device Manager to ensure that the Unknown Devices are gone.

There are enough signs here that I have to wonder about this installation. Should this be a pirated copy of Windows, please be aware that we may not be able to fix it (as the hacks that were done to activate it will cause the OS to behave differently than we expect it to). If that's the case, our efforts to help may just waste your time. Secondly, the forum rules prohibit assisting with pirated software - so the topic would be closed if that is the case.

Please provide the MGADiag report according to these instructions (from this post: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...install-deactivate-windows-3.html#post1767989 ):
To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
