Please follow the below steps, one step at a time :-

  1. Please remove McAfee till the time we are troubleshooting using this **TOOL**.
  2. As we can see form the Dump analysis that there is a L0 cache error in the Processor 3 Bank 1. It must be noted that both the dump files have the exact same error so we might be looking at a possible processor failure. But, before I can say that it is a Processor Problem, please perform the Processor Diagnostics (Prime95) over **HERE**.
  3. Please perform the Intel Stress Test using this **GUIDE**.
  4. Please update the drivers highlighted in BOLD.

Let me know how it goes ^_^.

Used the McAfee removal tool and have run the stress test. So far no problems with that.

How do I update the drivers you highlighted? Not the most experienced with this.

Thanks again for helping!

Hi Gummitarzan ^_^,

The links provided below the list of the drivers give additional information about them and where the updates could be downloaded from.

What was the result of the Prime95 Test?

Got a new BSOD today when running prime95. Also installed win7 and tried prime 95 there. BSOD again. Checked the dump file and it said "Probable cause; GenuineIntel".
Called Acer costumer service and they are picking up the laptop tomorrow...

Hopefully it's caused by the CPU and it is fixed on warranty! :)

But thanks a lot for your help! Much appreciated! :)

They switched out the prosessor as it turned out to be the fault.
So now its up and running again! :)

But now there is a new problem, after i got it back there isnt coming any sound from the speakers. It shows that it is playing through the speakers and the green bar is moving up and down, but no sound..

I apologize for the late reply as I have been out of town.

If the rolling back of the drivers did not fix the problem then most likely the Acer guys forgot to plug in the Speakers to the motherboard or forgot plugging in the Power to the Speakers. It happened with me when my laptop went for repairs, the guys forgot to plug in the wires for the Web Cam and Mic. I sent it back and the problem was fixed.

Let me know how it goes ^_^

Hi.

Forgot to update this thread.
Problem solved, the speakers were not connected.
Fixed it myself, takes about 1 month if I send it to Acer..

Thanks for all the help! :)
