Hello All,
I have been getting this very annoying BSOD when ever I try to watch videos on a web browser or open multiple (youtube?) pages.
My default browser is google chrome but this error also occurs in firefox and internet explorer. I have tried disabling hardware acceleration but the problem still occurs. I've also replaced the RAM(memtest didn't show any errors) but that didn't solve the issue. I've also used different drivers for my GPU and the problem still occurs.

I can play graphically demanding games without a hitch but it's the browsers that are causing this problem.

I used bluescreen view to get a better idea of what's causing this and it shows that tcpip.sys is what causes the crash.
A crash that occured last night was caused by ntoskrnl.exe+29652f and tcpip.sys+16bba1.

My system is a:
Win 8.1 64Bit
AMD Phenom II x4 955
AMD HD Sapphire 7850
8GB of DDR3 1600mhz RAM
256GB SSD Crucial MX100(OS)
320GB WD HDD(Data)
60GB SSD OCZ Vertex(Games)

and my wifi adapter is a Tenda wireless N150

I tried using theSF diagnostic tool to capture the BSOD dump but when trying to install it said it needed framework which it was not able to download.

Any help to get this solved would be greatly appreciated.

Try using Option 2 at this link to collect the needed files: http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-cra...e-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html

If that doesn't work, then I'll need these 3 things:
Upload Dump Files:
NOTE: If using a disk cleaning utility, please stop using it while we are troubleshooting your issues.
Please go to C:\Windows\Minidump and zip up the contents of the folder. Then upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.
Left click on the first minidump file.
Hold down the "Shift" key and left click on the last minidump file.
Right click on the blue highlighted area and select "Send to"
Select "Compressed (zipped) folder" and note where the folder is saved.
Upload that .zip file with your next post.

If you have issues with "Access Denied" errors, try copying the files to your desktop and zipping them up from there. If it still won't let you zip them up, post back for further advice.

If you don't have anything in that folder, please check in C:\Windows for a file named MEMORY.DMP. If you find it, zip it up and upload it to a free file hosting service. Then post the link to it in your topic so that we can download it.

Also, search your entire hard drive for files ending in .dmp, .mdmp, and .hdmp. Zip up any that you find and upload them with your next post.

Then, follow the directions here to set your system for Minidumps (much smaller than the MEMORY.DMP file): Set MiniDumpMore info on dump file options here: Overview of memory dump file options for Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008 R2

MSINFO32:
Please go to Start and type in "msinfo32.exe" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Save the report as an .nfo file, then zip up the .nfo file and upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.
Also, save a copy as a .txt file and include it also (it's much more difficult to read, but we have greater success in getting the info from it).

If you're having difficulties with the format, please open an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt and type (or copy/paste) "msinfo32 /nfo %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\TEST.NFO" (without the quotes) and press Enter. Then navigate to Desktop to retrieve the TEST.NFO file. If you have difficulties with making this work, please post back. Then zip up the .nfo file and upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.

systeminfo:
Please open an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt and type (or copy/paste) "systeminfo.exe >%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\systeminfo.txt" (without the quotes) and press Enter. Then navigate to Desktop to retrieve the syteminfo.txt file. If you have difficulties with making this work, please post back. Then zip up the .txt file and upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.

As the errors seem to contain a lot of reference to tcpip.sys - I'd presume that this was a networking issue.
BUT, there was also a STOP 0x124 error - which is usually suggestive of hardware or compatibility problems
As such, I'd update your networking drivers to the latest, Win8.1 compatible version.
Also, I have these 3 suggestions:
1. Get ALL available Windows Updates. It may take several trips to get them all
2. Start with these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics
3. If all of the hardware tests pass, then run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

We can get more specific once we get the reports and memory dumps.
Good luck!

Your BIOS dates from 2011. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please be advised that flashing the BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard. If possible, use the "inside Windows" flash mechanism (if your OEM provides one).

Only 56 Windows Updates installed. Most systems have 70 to 90 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

Don't worry about the specific number, it's just important that you have checked and installed any updates that were available (and didn't experience any errors).

You have a USB wireless networking device:
I do not recommend using wireless USB network devices. Especially in Win8/8.1 systems.
These wireless USB devices have many issues with Win7 and later - using Vista drivers with them is almost sure to cause a BSOD.
Should you want to keep using these devices, be sure to have Win8/8.1 drivers - DO NOT use Vista drivers!!!
An installable wireless PCI/PCIe card that's plugged into your motherboard is much more robust, reliable, and powerful.

Check to ensure that you have the latest firmware for your OCZ and Crucial SSD's. Older firmwares are known to have BSOD issues.

AMD OverDrive (AODDriver2.sys) is either a stand-alone application, or a component of the AMD VISION Engine Control Center. This driver is known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems.
NOTE: these symptoms were from the previous release of OverDrive. The new release uses the same driver name, but is dated from 4 November 2013.
Please un-install all AMD/ATI video stuff from Control Panel...Programs...Un-install a program
Then, download (but DO NOT install) a fresh copy of the ATI drivers from Global Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD (in the upper right corner of the page)
Use this procedure to install the DRIVER ONLY: ATI video cards - DRIVER ONLY installation procedure - Sysnative Forums

If the device (AODDriver or AODDriver4.01) remains a problem, open Device Manager, select the "View" item.
Then select "Show hidden devices" and scroll down to the Non-Plug and Play Drivers section.
Locate the AODDriver entry, right click on it and select "Un-install". Reboot for changes to take affect.
Sometimes the driver remains and continues to cause BSOD's. If this is the case for you, post back and we'll give further instructions for safely removing it.

If overclocking, please stop. Remove the overclock and return the system to stock/standard values while we're troubleshooting. Once the system is stable again, feel free to resume the overclocking.

Please turn off resident scanning with MalwareBytes (or uninstall it). There should only be one resident anti-virus (and McAfee is serving that purpose now).

Please uninstall Sapphire Trixx - it's driver (TRIXX.sys) dates from 2010

Please update your nVidia chipset drivers to the latest, Win8.1 compatible version. If there isn't a compatible version available, you may have to consider reverting to an earlier version of Windows in order to achieve stability.

Beyond this, I have these 3 suggestions:
1. Get ALL available Windows Updates. It may take several trips to get them all
2. Start with these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics
3. If all of the hardware tests pass, then run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

Ok I will try all your suggestions when I get home from work.
With regards to the windows updates, I keep "checking for updates" but it returns with no updates. Neither important or optional.
This problem became apparent once before, when I installed my video card drivers about a week ago (it's a fresh install). Turning off hardware acceleration made that problem go away.

Last night I downloaded and installed chrome 64bit and the problem came back again in all browsers. I uninstalled it and went back to the 32 bit version but of course the bsod is still present when opening multiple tabs at once (restoring session).

That is what we want to see. That means that Windows is fully updated.

Ok, just to update. I found AMD's overdrive in the catalyst control center settings. I clicked on it and I saw that it was automatically turned on and I never turned it on myself which was strange. So I turned it off exited out of trixx and closed malwarebytes. I then loaded up the pages like I usually do and to my surprise there were no more BSOD's!!

I tried this a couple of times to see if I could replicate the BSOD which I could not. So I decided to make a restore point at that moment, and then after that I uninstalled Google chrome 32bit and installed the 64 bit version(which gave me the BSOD to begin with).
The pages also loaded up just fine in Google Chrome 64 bit. After a restart (with malwarebytes exited, AMD overdrive off, and sapphire trixx exited) the BSOD was back(chrome 64 bit triggering the BSOD).
I restored to the earlier restore point which had the chrome 32 bit and ever since then no BSOD thank God. I now have trixx on along with malwarebytes but AMD overdrive off and have had no issues.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Sorry, just another update. It turns out doing the restore would disable malwarebytes' active protection and so BSOD would disappear. After re-initializing it and then restarting, the BSOD was coming back. So i disabled malwarebytes from starting up with windows and now BSOD is gone indefinitely!

We've suspected that MalwareBytes was having problems recently.
I'm glad that you spotted the problem - thanks for letting us know!
