Hi,

I have owned my MSI GT70 for about 1.5 years. About 1 month ago I have been getting BSOD whenever I play any games. I have updated all my graphic, network drivers etc...

My knowledge on how to fix these sorts of issues if very limited therefore would greatly appreciate any help you are able to give.

I have attached a .dmp file from my last BSOD.

Please follow the below steps, one step at a time :-

  1. Please remove your NVIDIA Drivers using this **TOOL** and then see if the BSOD still occurs or not. If the BSOD stop, then please install the latest NVIDIA Driver version from this **LINK**. If they don't stop then please proceed to step 2.
  2. Do this only if the above does not work. Follow this work around (Registry Tweak). Your issue seems to be caused by a delayed TDR and the resetting of the Graphics Driver and hence you get a black screen for a moment. Could you please follow the registry tweak (Opened by pressing Windows Key + R and then typing in "regedit") :-
    Navigate to

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ GraphicsDrivers]

    Then create a a REG_DWORD file called TdrDelay and set the value to 60

    ex. "TdrDelay"=dword:00000060 (60 seconds)

    Then navigate to

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ GraphicsDrivers\DCI]

    and Create a Value called

    "Timeout"=dword:00000060
  3. Update the highlighted drivers.

Let me know how it goes ^_^.
