Hi I was unable to extract the btfilter.sys driver update from the zip folder. I went to the atheros.cz site, found my driver, and downloaded the update for it, but I receive an error when I try to extract all or click the folder.

    Any ideas?

    EDIT (8/23/2014 1:33pm EST)

My Bios was 2 months out of date.. working on updating that now.. May be causing problems?

    Hi Caddyquinn,

Please do not create a new thread everytime you get a BSOD while your previous thread is open. I have asked to merge your new thread to this one.

I have analyzed the dump files which you provided in your new thread and below has been provided an analysis of the same for informative purposes :-

Please follow the below steps :-

    1. Please remove MalwareBytes using this **TOOL**.
    2. Please check Dell Website for your laptop model and see if there is any update available to the drivers.
    3. Please run Driver Verifier according to this **GUIDE** and make sure you let it crash for few times and then upload a freshly generated SF Diagnostic ZIP file in your next post.

Let me know how it goes ^_^.

Okay I've gone and updated as many of those drivers as I could. Do you recommend disabling those drivers one by one? Dell driver verifying tool has been used many times and always says I'm up to date. I will remove MalwareBytes and try updating my drivers again.. I must be missing something here.

I've run memtest and other programs to test hardware, but can you tell from memory dumps that it's my third party drivers?

Sure thing. Keep me updated on this ^_^.

I don't think that I could point whether it is hardware problem or some third party driver at this stage. If it is a possible Hardware Fault then Driver Verifier won't give any useful results.

According to the dump files, your Atheros Wireless LAN Driver is blamed and caused the Driver Verifier to Bugcheck. Please disable the Driver Verifier as of now till we troubleshoot this issue.
Do you get the BSOD if you disable your Wireless and do not connect to it?

Please goto this **LINK** and you would find the Driver for your model. Firstly, download the driver. Once you are done downloading, goto "Device Manager" and under the Network Adapters dropdown, you would see your Wireless Network Card. Right click on that and then click on Uninstall.

Once this is done, you would lose the ability to connect to the Internet. Make sure you DO NOT restart the system. Now, install the driver package and then restart your PC.

Let me know how it goes ^_^.
