Solved Kernel Power Error ID 41

Hello. I'm new here and I need your help. Lately just after I updated my Windows 8.1 all of the sudden my PC started shutting down for no reason and I had to restart it. It often occurs during the morning hours, but it also occurs during the evening hours, too. It's a Kernel Power error with Event ID 41, Version 3, Level 1, Task 63.

EventID 41 is simply Windows' way of saying it doesn't know why it was shut down. Investigation of other error reporting mechanisms, logs, reports, etc will help. It can be caused by BSOD's, overheating or other hardware problems, or even shutting the computer down by holding the power button.

Let's start with this:

Please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (run eventvwr.msc from the "Run" dialog))
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

Your BIOS dates from 2008. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please be advised that flashing the BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard. If possible, use the "inside Windows" flash mechanism (if your OEM provides one).

There's a distinct possibility that this system may not be able to handle Win8/8.1 We'll continue to work on it, but it's your choice as to if or when you'll decide to revert back to Win7 or earlier. I have a Lenovo tablet from 2008 that just wouldn't stay stable w/Win8 (even with getting help at Microsoft). I reverted to Win7 and the system is working just fine.

Back again. Got all resolved. I went to my local PC repair shop and told the proprietor about the problem showing him what I showed you. It turns out that it was the PC power supply that was wearing out and needs to be replaced. So I replaced it with a newer version of the power supply and now everything's in working order and I can get back to what I was doing before the problem arose. Thanks for your help, guys.
