BSOD with some games (updated with bsod dumps)

I have had many issues with Windows 8.1. I have been having issues with AMD Drivers blue screening, however, I updated Windows 8.1 to everything the latest and it hasn't done that since.
However, when I play some games, I get a blue screen with "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR" which means its something to do with the CPU/Memory hardware.

I do overclock, and I stress test everything for hours to ensure its stability. I have a 4770K @4.7Ghz, MSI Z87-GD65 Motherboard, and 32GB of Corsair Vengeance Pro Memory.

All has been stress tested like I said. Most of my blue screens come from games that normally run the Source engine and Battlefield 4 seems to do it as well.

Any help here? Or any help in general if it weren't specifically for just Source games + Battlefield 4?

Thanks!

NOTE: Look at the BSOD's from the past week or so. I was able to solve most of the ones before. But if you want, you can look over and see about those as well.

Hello Jerrett, and welcome to Eight Forums.

Please read the instructions here: Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions, and post back with the needed information if still able to boot your computer. One of our BSOD experts should be by afterwards to further help. :)

Please follow the steps below, one step at a time :-

  1. Please reset everything to STOCK settings and disable overclocking till the time we are troubleshooting as in the WHEA dump files, different processor banks are blamed which is generally caused by Unstable Overclock. Please do note that a system won't hold onto an overclock forever.
  2. Please remove Daemon Tools. Remove the SPTD using this **GUIDE** as well since they are known to cause BSOD's.
  3. Please remove any MSI software installed on the system because the drivers highlighted in RED(NTIOLIB_X64.sys) are very well known to cause BSOD's.
  4. Please remove Avast and Comodo using this **TOOL** and **TOOL** respectively.
  5. Please remove Corsair Link as it is also known to cause problems.
  6. If the problem still persists then please start with these Processor Diagnostics (Make sure your system is NOT OVERCLOCKED).

Let me know how it goes ^_^.

Do you happen to know if any of ASUS's motherboard's have issues with the software doing blue screens? I've been thinking of getting one of their Z97 boards when the time is right, but I want to be sure about some things. Mainly the reason I'd be getting one is because my current MSI board doesn't support 32GB of RAM running at full speed with stock CPU (2400Mhz) even though its Haswell certified.

Another thing, everyone keeps saying to uninstall certain new updates with Windows due to blue screens. Is this true?

Hi Jerrett ^_^,

I apologize for the late reply.

My first question would be, are you still getting any BSOD's?
AFAIK, the ASUS motherboard is good but do not install their Bloatware software which could be bundled in the Driver CD as they are known to cause issues.

The Uninstallation of Windows Updates is not recommended as the updates are tested rigorously and there are VERY VERY rare cases where uninstallation of the Windows Update helps. Like many people say :- "Don't fix it if it is not broken" :p

Sorry, I was on vacation for a few days. I did play around with it for a few days before hand and now for today and last night and it works fine!

I will go back to overclocking and if anything happens I'll know its that! :)

Thanks!
