Please follow the below steps, one step at a time :-

  1. On further analysis, the dump file revealed that there was a Processor Timer Error. So, please RESET Everything to STOCK settings in the BIOS settings to clear any overclock in case it is there.
  2. Please remove the driver highlighted in RED as it is very well known to cause BSOD's. Please remove any Western Digital Software as well.
  3. Update the rest of the BLACK Highlighted drivers.
  4. Please remove AVAST using this **TOOL**.
  5. If the problem is still not solved then please start with these free Processor Diagnostics found over **here**.

Let me know how it goes ^_^.

I just had BSOD on startup multiple times until I had to refresh my whole PC, losing all of my files. I did the following steps prior to this occurring.

1)Updated the western digital driver
2)Updated NVidia driver
3)Restarted my PC which worked
4)I turn off the PC and went into BIOS mode to set the default for my mobo
5)Restarted the PC and then I was stuck at the startup screen, I tried running startup diagnosis but it could not solve the problem and I was constantly stuck at startup until I refresh the PC.

Hi Chee006,

Unfortunately there is no Dump files to analyze the dump files. Please make sure that there are the fresh dump files in the SF Diagnostic ZIP file which you could attach to the next post ^_^

Sorry I had no idea there were no DMP files stored cause I had just assume that the refreshing PC feature would not delete the DMP files, but I still can't figure out why my PC was unable to start up at all. Thank for the help though.

Hi Chee006,

The Dump files are deleted whenever the PC is refreshed. If you have refreshed the PC, please do not install any software at the moment and see if the Computer crashes or not. If it does crash then please proceed with the Processor Diagnostics which I have asked you to run in my previous post. Also, I would need a freshly generated SF Diagnostic File for analyzing the latest crashes.

ok I see, I'll send you the latest crash files so far I have not experience any crashes yet.

Sometimes it may take a little time for the crashes to return so make sure you test the system extensively ^_^.

I'll keep my fingers crossed, but I am more worried about the PC not being able to start up as that was the cause for my refreshed PC and I still dun know why it happened. Can you guess what could have caused it based on the chronological things I did which I have posted above?

Thanks

Sure thing. Keep me updated ^_^.

The dump file was of WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR which generally occurs when a processor is faulty or there is some problem with a low level driver. But, since there is presence of WDCSAM64.sys (Low-Level Driver), I am not sure what might have caused it. Furthermore, there was only one dump file present in the SF Diagnostic ZIP file, hence I cannot say at the moment that the processor was faulty or someone else was causing it. That is why I asked you to perform the Processor Diagnostics to make sure.

Let me know how it goes ^_^

I'll run the processor test later as I am currently busy with my father being in the hospital but I still have not received any BSOD yet, and if it was the processor that prevented me from starting up windows then why after refreshing the PC I was able to use windows again? Is it possible that the processor could have done that because I suspected it has something to do with the driver software I updated. but I could be wrong either way I'll definitely keep this thread updated.

Thanks again!

Sure thing. Take your time ^_^. On refreshing a PC, many things change. I am not certain but I have seen it happen many times that it gets delayed a bit in many cases.

Looking forward to your update ^_^

My PC just froze while I was playing CS:GO which I assume is a BSOD so I ran the diagnostic tool and uploaded the files here. I hva eplayed Coh2 and Galatic Civ for a few hours without any BSOD but after just 10 minutes in CS:GO my Pc crashed however I went to play back te same match for another half an hour and did not get any BSOD or freezes at all.

I am worries that it's my hardware that is causing all of these BSOD but I am going to run the processor diagnostic tool now and update this thread.

Thanks!

Hi Chee006,

Unfortunately, the latest SF Diagnostic ZIP File you have provided does contain any dump files :(
Please make sure you let the tool run for atleast 15 minutes or till the time it says that it has finished.

Do u mean it doesn't have files? I have use another software to disgnose instead but it says it doesn't detect any dump files either, is it possible that my game just froze and it wasn't actually a BSOD? btw it has been roughly 16 hours since I ran the prime95 and I am still BSOD free.

It may be possible that the game was at fault and not the system. Anyways please test your system for stability and for BSOD's. A Dump file would be generated only in case of Blue Screen.

So far no BSOD and the prime95 was running for 16 hours straight, so i guess it may just be my game. I'll update again if I get another BSOD.
