I have problem with my Windows 7 since Windows 8 installed to my PC

Error: C:\Windows\System32\winload.exe

Code: 0xc0000428

Details: Cannot verify the signature of the file.
I did repair with Command Prompt from Windows 7 Installation Disc but it's no good.
but, I have strange problem with this command

bootrec /ScanOS
bootrec /rebuildbcd

Scanning all Windows Installations..
Please wait, this may take a while.

Total Windows Installations: 0

This is strange since my Windows installations is 2, it's Windows 7 and Windows 8.

My question is, If I delete Windows 8 and repair Windows 7 mbr, will that work?
but if you can save my Windows 8 and repairs Windows 7, I appreciate that.

Hey, welcome!

All you have to do is set your bios to boot from the correct HDD. It is probably incorrect at the moment.

Either that or use gparted live to set the Windows 8 HDD (where all files are like Windows folder, Program Files etc...) as a Primary partition instead of logical.

doesn't work, and I only have 1 HDD, and my Windows 8 Partition is Primary

You could try using gparted to find the partition where Windows 8 installed its system partition housing bcd. If it is the Windows 8 partition itself, set that as the active partition and try to boot.

Basically, the partition where the new Boot folder and bootmgr files are located should be set as active.

This is one of those crazy "C:\ drive " problems that Windows falls over with. Possibly Windows 8 has found your system drive where Windows 7 resides and has deleted the drive letter, effectively hiding the drive from itself.
If you can boot from the Windows 7 install disk you should be able to run a command prompt, and if not obvious, shift F10 should open one up.
Diskpart is the tool that the command console uses to see and manipulate disks, partitions and volumes
If you issue the diskpart command, after a short while you see a new prompt:

DISKPART>

type

list disk

and if there's only one disk, it will tell you that Disk 0 is Online, how big etc.

type

sel disk 0

to select that disk

and it tells you

Disk 0 is now the selected disk

type

list part

and it will list the partitions on the selected disk 0

Partition 1 Primary xxx GB
Partition 2 Primary yyy GB

there may be three partitions, I hope there's not more!

Type

List vol

This will show you all the volumes - the formatted drives in those partitions (and if there is more than one disk, on those other disks too)

Volume ### Ltr Label FS Type Size Status Info
Volume 0 win7 NTFS Partition xxxGB Healthy System
Volume 1 C win8 NTFS Partition yyyGB Healthy Boot
Volume 2 D GRMCULFRER_ UDF DVD-ROM 2444MB Healthy

You get the idea, I hope

Volume 0 has lost its C drive status, since volume 1 has it

From the partition and volume lists we can see that Partition 1 is the same as Volume 0, and we need to assign it a drive letter

type the 4 commands following:

sel part 1

assign letter=e

active

list vol

Volume ### Ltr Label FS Type Size Status Info
Volume 0 E win7 NTFS Partition xxxGB Healthy System
Volume 1 C win8 NTFS Partition yyyGB Healthy Boot
Volume 2 D GRMCULFRER_ UDF DVD-ROM 2444MB Healthy

type

exit

to leave diskpart

At this point you could just try to reboot, and see if the bootloader has found the active system volume.

But just check that

dir e: /a

has a windows folder and a BOOT folder and bootmgr file

and

dir c:\ /a

also has a windows folder
