Memory related BSOD's for months. Can't figure it out...

Hello. Just a prequel. I've never had a problem on Windows 7. Only after upgrading to Windows 8/8.1 over a year ago. I went back to Windows 7 just to make sure I didn't have the issue. This was several months ago. Yesterday, I just reinstalled windows 8.1 on a new SSD.

I have 4x4GB (16GB) 8-9-9-24 2T 1866MHz g.Skill Quadchannel memory on X79 Sabertooth.

I do overclock. I have my 4930k at 4.5 GHz with H100 watercooling push/pull config. With my overclock, I have tested each memory stick individually at XMP settings with 4 passes on Memtest86 5.1's. I tested them in all the memory slots I use, no memory errros

I have replaced the PSU thinking PSU was the issue. I had a Corsiar HX1000, now I have a Corsair HX1050.

I have replaced my OCZ Vertex 4 with a Samsung 850 Pro. Thinking that was the issue.

After replacing these pieces and reinstalling Windows 8.1. Just got another memory corruption BSOD this morning while having a couple of web browsers open.

I have done 50 passes in Linx, and Prime stable for over 24 hours. Its disgusting how I just get BSOD's while browsing the web.

My VCCSA was set to Auto, then I tried 1.1v. My memory I left at 1.5V as the XMP timings state. VTT is 1.1V.

When I drop my memory speed down from 1866MHz (xmp) to 1600MHz. I have not gotten a BSOD yet. I am thinking it's actually related to memory timings somewhat. I don't want to raise the timings, i'd rather adjust voltages but I'm unsure at this point if it's VCCSA or memory voltage which is needed.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks :)

I have tested each memory stick individually at XMP settings with 4 passes on Memtest86 5.1's. I tested them in all the memory slots I use, no memory errros
I have found out, that memtest86 is not so reliable as everyone thinks. I have also had BSODs and crashed for months, because I have ignored memory problems due to memtest86 reporting it as problem free. Then I have used MemTest and I have got memory errors within minutes, so I have lowered frequency as it solved my problem. Try to run it, you need to run multiple instances to test all the memory for free.

I don't remember the person who posted, but what I remember from his post was that Memtest sometimes gives errors which are not due to faulty RAM but due to some flaws in the software itself. Although the Memtest86+ is more accurate than that and is Open Source as well.

Although I have yet to encounter a case where Memtest86+ does not point out any errors but on changing the RAM, the problem resolved.

Thank you for the welcome!

And thank you for the input guys. I have tested with Memtest86+ and the newest Memtest86. I have never tried "Memtest" though.

I have attached the sf diagnostic logs as requested. Hopefully something can come out of them.

Thank you!

Edit: Also, I originally had a 3930k, same issue. That would most likely narrow out the memory controller on the processor.

Changing the RAM, you mean a completely different set, or a replacement of the same set? I'm trying to keep this identical set I have now. It's this model on newegg "F3-14900CL8Q-16GBZM" http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231539

Please follow the below steps, one step at a time :-

  1. Please update the above highlighted drivers.
  2. Since, the faulting driver could not be read, please run MemTest+ as asked in my previous post.
  3. If no errors, are found then please proceed and perform the following DISM commands as according to the dump file, there is corruption in the "win32k.sys"
Then please run the following DISM commands to see if there's any problems with the system (from an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt). Press Enter after each one:
Code:

Code:
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
Code:

Code:
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
If the problem is fixable, you can use this command to repair it (from an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt). Press Enter after typing it:
Code:

Code:
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
From this article: Repair a Windows Image

You can also run
Code:
sfc.exe /scannow
from an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt to check for further corruption.

4. If the BSOD's are still happening then please run Driver Verifier according to this **guide**, let it crash a few times and then generate a fresh SF Diagnostic ZIP file (Ensuring that the latest Dump files are present) and attach that in your next post.

Let me know how it goes ^_^.
