BSODs, lot of different error codes

Almost every time I use Windows I will get a BSOD at some point, with different error codes. Often while playing LoL (since that is the main thing I use Windows for), but also during other things. I also have Ubuntu installed on the same PC, which I use at least as often as Windows. I have never had a kernel panic or other serious issues on Ubuntu.

Last week I had an issue where only 4 GB out of 8 GB memory was detected. Reinserting both memory sticks solved that.

The absence of any issues on Ubuntu leads me to believe this is a software issue. The issues with memory lead me to believe this is a hardware issue. I ran memtest overnight, no errors found.

I hope anyone is able to help me with these issues.

Please follow the below steps, one step at a time :-

    1. Please remove Avast Antivirus using this **TOOL** as it has been blamed in the dump files many times. Furthermore, the drivers related to Networking are also present so Avast is most likely the culprit.
    2. Please remove Daemon Tools as well because it is known to cause problems.
    3. Remove the "AODDriver2.sys" as that is also known to cause BSOD's in many systems.
    4. Try finding the updates for the drivers highlighted in BLACK.

Let me know how it goes ^_^.

    Thanks for the response!

    1. I removed Avast. Can you recommend another (free) antivirus that does not cause BSODs?
    2. Done.
3/4. I uninstalled the only AMD program I could find, this seems (not sure) to have removed AODDriver2.sys *and* the drivers highlighted in black. No yellow question marks showed up in device manager, so I think all is well.

Please follow the below steps one step at a time:-

    1. Please update the driver highlighted above.
    2. Please test your RAM using this **GUIDE** and post back the results. Make sure you run the Memtest for atleast 8 passes (atleast Overnight)

Let me know how it goes ^_^.

    1. I installed the latest Realtek High Definition Audio Codecs. After this installation the driver "MBfilt" dissappeared from the driver list file in the diagnostics tool output. I don't know how you generate your list, but I guess it should be ok now. Attaching full diagnostics so you can confirm.
    2. Since I am not sure whether or not I ran 8 passes last time I will run it again this night. Note that I installed it using "sudo apt-get install memtest86" on Ubuntu and it is started directly from my bootloader. I wanted to mention this since it is a deviation from the mentioned guide. But it should run the same nontheless.

    Hi Yoqi,

The last dump points that there is presence of the "MBFILt64.sys". If you have removed then check for BSOD's. Are you still encountering the BSOD?
Complete the Memory Diagnostics and then please run Driver Verifier according to this **GUIDE**.

Although due to the nature of Random BSOD errors, I would suspect the RAM so make sure you complete the Memtest before following the above guide.

I had another BSOD yesterday after removing MBfilt64.sys. Diagnostics attached.

I ran memtest for at least 8 passes, no errors. Screenshot attached.

I have setup the driver verifier. Will post back once I have more information.

    Hi Yoqi,

The dump files do not reveal anything to me at least . Please upload the dump files which are generated by Driver Verifier so that I could analyze them ^_^.

I estimate that my PC has now run about 24 hours (not continuously) in the past two days with the driver verifier on. In that time I have not seen any BSODs. My PC is a lot slower, but that was to be expected. The guide you mentioned advised to run the PC 36 hours continuously, I will try to do that this weekend. In the meant time, does the driver verifier present information in any other way than BSODs that I could send to you? Logs perhaps?
