My computer has recently occasionally been locking up when I start it but don't use it right away. Nothing works except powering off. When this happened this morning, I received a window referring to "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" and of course came here for help. Necessary files as instructed are attached. Please HELP!

Please follow the below steps, one step at a time :-

  1. Please remove your LogMeIn VPN Client as the previous versions were known to cause problems and you have an extremely outdated version installed.
  2. Please remove Team Viewer VPN.
  3. Please update Agere Systems Soft Modem. If no update is available, then please disable this device and see if it helps or not.
  4. Please remove the AODDRIVER32.sys.
AMD Overdrive; also in EasyTune6 for Gigabyte motherboard
    Known BSOD issues in Win7

    Part of AMD Fuel

    Location: C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Fuel\amd64\AODDriver2.sys
  5. If the problem is still not solved then please uninstall WebRoot using this **TOOL**.

Let me know how it goes ^_^.

Thank you, blueelvis, for your prompt response. I'll let you know how it goes.

I don't mind uninstalling LogMeIn since I recently installed TeamViewer for remote desktop use instead of LogMeIn. My problem started before I installed it, though, so, unless there are known issues with it, I'd prefer not to uninstall it unless everything else is ruled out.

Not to jump too far forward, but if WebRoot is causing a problem, some internet security suggestions would be appreciated since I changed from Norton Internet Security (after many, many years) to WebRoot a few months ago after NIS let a few things slip by (according to a professional who fixed my computer).

BTW, I'm not sure how to PM here and can't find instructions.

Hi ^_^,

Perform the steps one step at a time and then checking for BSOD. If a BSOD occurs then move on to the next step as described in my above post. Till the time we are troubleshooting, I would advise you to follow the steps. Once they are solved, you could re-install the software. We just need to make sure that the current software is not causing problems.

An Antivirus can also many times cause BSOD. We see it happening many times over here. But, since I haven't seen cases of WebRoot Problems since I joined (May 2014), that is why I have suggested that removal as the last step. If the steps do not stop the BSOD's , we would proceed further ^_^.

Regarding to the PM, you could click the profile name and click on "Personal Message" button. If you are not able to send PM, let me know, I could forward your PM to the person ^_^.
