My Toshiba laptop gives the above BSOD screen 9 out of 10 times when going to sleep. I have installed the latest Win 8 video drivers but that was no help.

I have attached a couple of the minidump files.

Hi,

Bit of a messy machine there. First thing is first. Update or uninstall your sptd.sys. The installer/uninstaller does either:

DuplexSecure - Downloads

----------

Update Synaptics Touchpad driver:

Code:
SynTP SynTP.sys Mon Aug 17 14:35:16 2009

----------

Update J-Micron Storage driver:

Code:
jmcr jmcr.sys Mon Jul 20 07:39:02 2009

JMicron/Home

-----------

Update from the manufacturer:

Code:
tosrfec tosrfec.sys Mon Jun 01 02:58:53 2009
tosrfcom tosrfcom.sys Tue Jul 28 06:18:20 2009
tosporte tosporte.sys Tue Jun 16 06:48:47 2009
Thpevm Thpevm.SYS Mon Jun 29 04:15:37 2009
thpdrv thpdrv.sys Sun Jun 28 22:02:56 2009

----------

Uninstall ESET. Windows 8 already has excellent a/v protection as a service.

Code:
epfw epfw.sys Tue Jun 28 03:30:10 2011
eamonm eamonm.sys Tue Aug 02 05:33:29 2011

----------

Uninstall ancient Acronis:

Code:
tifsfilt tifsfilt.sys Wed Aug 29 08:37:29 2007
timntr timntr.sys Wed Aug 29 08:38:23 2007

-----------

Update from manufacturer:

Code:
pgeffect pgeffect.sys Mon Jun 22 05:00:11 2009

---------

Visit Intel to let it scan to update storage drivers:

Code:
iaStor iaStor.sys Thu Jun 04 21:53:40 2009

---------

Update Realtek HD Audio:

Code:
RTKVHD64 RTKVHD64.sys Tue Jul 28 09:00:05 2009

Realtek

-------

Others needing update:

Code:
tdcmdpst tdcmdpst.sys Thu Jul 30 04:39:35 2009
TVALZ_O TVALZ_O.SYS Mon Jul 13 22:19:26 2009
TVALZFL.sys Fri Jun 19 06:05:44 2009
agrsm64 agrsm64.sys Tue Jul 21 14:03:31 2009

---------

This file is (likely) not needed and should be rid of:

Code:
nvBridge nvBridge.kmd Thu Jul 23 04:36:04 2009

I would find a utility that clears all NVIDIA files, drivers and settings. Use it in safe mode. Reboot and install the latest video driver.

--------

Enjoy!
