    Thanks John,
I had to take my dog to the vet to have a hot spot checked out. When I came back the computer took a long time trying to wake and finally rebooted. The event viewer may reflect that event, as well. Yesterday, I let Memtest 86+ run for 5 hours. After 3 passes, there were 0 errors.

Hotspots are hard to treat! (my wife's a veterinarian) Good luck with that!

I saw some hard drive stuff in the attached report, but nothing definitive.

Try these free diagnostics (start with the hard drive diags): Hardware Diagnostics

    FYI:
Seagate Sea Tools DOS CD showed no drives found.
WD Lifeguard Tools mis-identified the SSD and 2TB WD internal as IDE rather than SATA3 and SATA2.
    Results:
Samsung Magician 4 gave SSD health as good
    WD Lifeguard
    All SMART - Pass
WD 320GB drive Extended test - OK
WD 2TB drive Extended test - OK
    HD Tune
    All SMART - OK
    All Error scans - OK

The C: drive is a Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SSD in good health with 102GB free and 108GB used.
    Drive H: is a WD 320GB drive
Drive G: is a WD Green 2TB drive. Hmmm. since I have BSODs after waking, maybe I should change the power settings so the drive does not hibernate.
Changed SSD OS Optimization to Maximum Performance and enabled Real Time Acceleration Processing of I/O Data Mode.
Modified power settings of Samsung High Performance to never sleep or hibernate and never turn off hardisk.
I'm seeing peppier performance and the system was almost immediately available after moving mouse this AM. We'll see if this continues.

If the system BSOD's again, please zip up and upload the contents of C:\Windows\Minidump (you may have to copy it to your desktop in order to zip it up).

Seemingly random BSOD's in BSOD Crashes and Debugging
Hello, I have been experiencing several BSOD's while doing pretty much anything on my computer. The last few errors were: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (win32k.sys) SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (dxgmms1.sys) SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (win32k.sys) There were more, but I can't remember...
So basically my system is crashing at seemingly random points (games, desktop, programs...anytime) even though the system appears to be ok. I've updated all drivers, ran memtest, even ran prime95 (was oc'ing recently but the crashes were happening before that) and everything checks out. My...
Hi all, New to the forums, first post as I had looked through other threads to try and fix a problem I have been having, and it looks like a lot of people here are quite knowledgeable on these issues. System is as follows: ASUS M4A87TD/USB3 AMD Phenom II X4 B55 3.6GHz 4 x 2GB Geil DDR3...
I'm completely stumped and I don't know how to read error codes very well. I'm using an HP Pavilion dv7 laptop with core i7 processor. I recently upgraded to a ocz vertex 4 SSD because I thought maybe my old HDD was going bad and I wanted the speed bump anyway. The system ran pretty stable for a...
Seemingly Random BSODs in BSOD Crashes and Debugging
Hey everyone, Not sure what's going on, but I've had a few BSODs. As far as I can tell, I haven't noticed any one thing I'm doing at the time of the crashes. I ran Memtest 86+ for 17 passes with no errors, and chkdsk came back fine. Core Temps says that, at my highest, I'm running about 40 C,...
