Problem with windows 8.1 update 1 (add dmp file)

Hi everyone,

My problem is when I play black ops II on my pc after 2 to 5 rounds my pc freeze and do weird sound after that the bleu screen appear with video_tdr_failure (nvlddmkm.sys)

I have this problem since the last year and sometimes it work normally sometimes the problem appear from no wear

ps: sorry for my English

Update 1 : I tried to play bo2 and after 5 min the system crash again with Watchdog violation dmp file in the attachment

Please remove the NVIDIA Display driver using this **TOOL**. Once you are done uninstalling, install the latest BETA drivers from NVIDIA (If you are using a Desktop) or from the OEM (If you are using a laptop). Once this is done, make sure you disable the NVIDIA Streaming Service.
Please update the older drivers.
Your BIOS dates back to 2008 which is extremely old. Please check your manufacturer and see if there is any available update and report back. DO NOT UPDATE THE BIOS AS OF YET!!!

Hi again ^_^
I remove the NVidia driver with the tool and I installed the last version 340.43 beta, and after I played for 30 min the problem show back again.

+ I didn't find the SeLow_x64.sys to download

For updating my motherboard I didn't find any new driver for it, I was hopping buying a new pc cause this one is getting very old but I'm still stuck with it :cry:

Hi Massi,

What you could do is run the Display Driver Uninstaller again, clean the NVIDIA Drivers and then install the drivers which came with your GPU in the Driver CD (Which comes with the GPU) and see if the problem solves it or not.

Are you using any headsets btw? If yes, then please remove them and try gaming and see if it BSOD's or not. Also, disable the NVIDIA Streaming Service or uninstall the GeForce Experience and see if the problems stop or not.

Hi Massi ^_^,

The dump file is corrupt

. I would need a freshly generated SF Diagnostic ZIP file in case the crashes continue. Your bugcheck is the DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION and that too Video TDR timeout. There is a possible workaround for this. Could you please follow this and see if your problem gets solved or not?

Open regedit then -
Navigate to -
H_KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ System \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ Graphics Drivers.
Right click on the open field and click on New / DWORD (32bit) Value,
Then name it: TdrDelay -> double click it -> Set the value to 8.

Also, is it happening on only one game or it is happening during normal browsing as well? Did you try installing the driver updates from the Driver CD which came with your GPU?

I tried what you tell me and from that day I didn't get any other freeze or crash and for your question about other games the answer is yes I tried Hitman absolution and I was getting freeze.
