    Driver_Power_State_Failure on Lenovo IdeapadY510p

Hello. I posted recently about BSOD crashes using my old laptop, a Z710 from Lenovo. This is the replacement laptop they sent since they could not fix my other laptop. Needless to say, I'm irritated and if I can not send it in that would be ideal.

So far, my new laptop has crashed 3 times with the Driver Power State Failure BSOD. It happens about 2-5 minutes after I open my laptop, waking it from sleep. Unfortunately, it only happens about once a week or so, so testing if it's gone will take awhile.

So here is my zipped folder, if you guys could spare me the headache of dealing with Lenovo support again I'd appreciate it so much. Unfortunately, since it happens so sporadically, it might take a bit of time to troubleshoot!

Hi Peachbelle & welcome again ^_^,

I don't think it would be necessary to send this one for replacement
I have analyzed your dump files and below is a short analysis of them provided :-

We see that KSTHUNK is blocking the IRP which is the Kernel Streaming Driver of Windows and the chance of it being at failure is extremely low. On checking your DXDIAG report, it became clear that the Ksthunk.sys is associated with the Lenovo Easy Camera. I remember there was this very similar case last month (I guess :P ).

Now, the problem can be fixed by uninstalling the Lenovo Easy Cam or You Cam software from the Add/Remove from the Control Panel.

Please do let me know in case of any further problems and I would be glad to help you out ^_^.
