Hello guys, first post so please be patient ;).

So basically i got a lot of BSOD's over the time and I am fed up with it. I tried to reinstall windows over and over again, trying out new drivers that are not represented in the Asus Driver Download page and etc...

One of the most common errors is the : "kernel auto boost invalid lock release" , normally when i'm listening to music or in YouTube.

I understand i have to upload this file so u can help me! Here it goes.

Hope you can help me!

Hi Whetstone and welcome to the forum. A look at the dump files shows fltmgr.sys and acpiex.sys as a cause of BSOD. These errors could be caused by corrupt files on the hard drive. Run sfc /scannow: http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/3047-sfc-scannow-command-run-windows-8-a.html?filter[1]=Performance%20Maintenance

If it reports unrepairable errors then run Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth: http://www.eightforums.com/tutorial...nent-store-corruption-windows-8-a.html?filter[1]=Performance%20Maintenance

So i scanned the pc, and there were some errors so i followed your advice to "restorehealth". After that I restarted the PC and after 2 days one more BSOD appeared with the message : "kernel_auto_boost ....."

What should i do next?

Thanks btw for answering!

It seems that your Laptop model has only drivers for Windows 7 according to this **LINK**. Now, since you are having extremely outdated versions of ATK Utility (The driver dated 2006) and many others are extremely outdated as well, I would suggest you to run Windows Update and download all the updates (Even the OPTIONAL updates) to see if it fixes your problem or not.

DO NOT install drivers of Windows 7 on the Windows 8.1 as it might lead to further problems. If your problems don't solve then I would say the only option would be to downgrade to Windows 7.
