"More PC settings" link in the Charms menu does not work

    Hi people,

Installed Win 8 on Samsung NC10 netbook.
I was trying to follow the instructions in"Windows 8 How To: 7. Switch Between Windows Accounts and Local Accounts" Windows 8 How To: 7. Switch Between Windows Accounts and Local Accounts - Dr. Z's Blog - Site Home - MSDN Blogs
but for some reason the "More PC settings" link in the Charms menu does not react at all.
Also, when i try to click on "Add new user in PC Settings" under Users: Manage acoounts, nothing happens. It seems that PC Settings are not accessible at all for some reason

Hello VonKugel, and welcome to Eight Forums.

You might see if running a sfc /scannow command may be able to fix this for you. If not, then you could do a system restore using a restore point (if available) dated when you believed that the "PC settings" link worked to fix it. If still not, then you may need to either refresh or reset Windows 8.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

I decided to do a fresh install (the previous one was on top of XP) and now everything seems to work fine.

Yeah, I find it's best to always do a clean install instead of an upgrade.
