Frequent Random Crashes

Okay, I uninstalled the Aver driver through device manager and removed the card. Device manager doesn't show it anymore. Upon turning on the computer again I got a couple freezes/black screens but no BSOD's (though they were rare to begin with so I won't know for a while). One thing I noticed is that I still have the "AVer7231_x64.sys" in system32/drivers despite uninstalling the driver?

In general, uninstalling the device in Device Manager won't remove the driver unless you're offered the option (it's a checkmark) to "Delete the driver software for this device"

We can remove the driver manually (if needed) - but I'd prefer to see if it's showing up in the memory dumps first.

I finally got a BSOD again, and like usual it is different from the last. Also I'm almost certain that I had seen that box and checked it

    Attached is the memory dump.

    Thanks

Please remove MyWinLocker (another program by EgisTec - this was an omission in the Driver Reference Table that I've just now fixed). It's drivers date from 2009.

Please note that the Aver drivers aren't in this memory dump. That means (most likely) that the one's left in the folder aren't loading.

Previously I had asked you to run Driver Verifier - have you done that?
If not, please do so if the BSOD's return AFTER removing MyWinLocker

FWIW - if this should turn out to be a hardware problem, it may require that you update your BIOS in order to achieve a fix.
I'd suggest preparing for this by backing up your stuff (in case the BIOS flash goes bad) - not likely, but it's better to be safe than sorry! :0)

I don't have that program listed on control panel either. If I uninstalled them in the past, shouldn't that remove the installation from program files and the drivers? I ran driver verifier when you suggested it but I kept getting BSOD's with 0% "collecting information" (no dumps were made), I will try driver verifier again once I figure out how to remove all this EgisTec stuff. That's okay, I will update the BIOS if I need to. I also just got a BSOD so the file is attached.

    Thanks

The EgisTech\MyWinLocker stuff is listed in the Software Environment...Program Groups section of the MSINFO32 report.
Try using the free version of Revo Uninstaller: Revo Uninstaller Pro - Uninstall Software, Remove Programs easily, Forced Uninstall, Leftovers Uninstaller
If that doesn't work, then try installing a new copy, then uninstalling it.
Finally, if all of that doesn't work, then post back and we'll see if we can manually remove it (a long nasty process that isn't guaranteed to work)

Looking at the raw stack text, there are traces of nVidia video drivers there.
    Please:
    - download a fresh copy of the latest, Win8 compatible video drivers from the nVidia website ( Visual Computing Leadership from NVIDIA )
    - uninstall the current video drivers
    - install the freshly downloaded video drivers
    - monitor for further BSODs

I'd like to say thank you for showing me that uninstaller program as it helped get rid of a couple other things that I struggled with a lot to remove (Bluestacks and DivX ). Anyways, I removed everything relating to EgisTec through the uninstaller and it did delete the program files however I can see that the system files are still there (after restarting). I'm hoping that this is a similar case to the Aver sys. file where it is still there but not being loaded. I also uninstalled and re installed the new graphics driver.

Additionally I've been having almost no problems with the computer blacking out now. From before it took me 3-6 times to use the computer once each day but in the last week I only remember one time where I had to restart due to the screen turning off.

Edit: Jinxed myself and got a black screen today

It's not uncommon to get black screens after "fixing" BSOD's. I believe that it's that we've found the primary cause of the BSOD, but did not find all of the problems.

Wait for a while to see if the BSOD's are fixed (a week or two),
Then post back and we'll work on the black screens (if still needed)
    FWIW - they're much harder.

While you're waiting, try this stuff:
Then please run the following DISM commands to see if there's any problems with the system (from an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt). Press Enter after each one:
    Code:
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    Code:
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
    Code:
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
FYI - I have repaired systems using the last command even though problems weren't found with the first 2 - so I suggest running them all.

From this article: Repair a Windows Image

You can also run sfc.exe /scannow from an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt to check for further corruption.

I just got a BSOD after startup, no error displayed, 0%, no dump file:

    Attachment 48199

I also then got a black screen, restarted, and crashed twice more without a black screen (just freezing). I ran all the commands as well.

    Hi again,

One week after my last post, until now, the problem had gone away completely. For the last month and a half I had been using the computer about 1-2 hours a day at most, until a few days ago where I began my semester break. Yesterday, one of the problems seemed to have come back (screen loses signal/turns off, keyboard turns off, computer still "on") and today the same but with a freeze on the start screen.

I'm sure it's not a temperature thing due to an increased usage of the computer because it happens within 10 minutes of startup like it always has only. I have no idea what changed with the computer to cause this to start again as I'm almost certain I didn't change anything

    Thanks
