Expensive ASUS BSOD, even upgraded OS to no avail

Hey guys, should have turned to you a while back.... well, you cant stop arrogance I guess ?

Quick rundown, bought the ASUS G75VW almost two years ago, ran a treat. It is basically a downloading and streaming machine. I work away, so when I am home (one week out of three), the laptop stays on continuously, usually downloading. I've monitored heat, have an external fan mounted and have had no problems with the ASUS.
The laptop does however, have multiple external hard drives running off it (all WD's and all with their own power supply), through a USB3.0 Hub and also one of its other three usb3.0 ports (I currently have 5 externals...yea, I know)....
Windows 7pro+media centre, ran fine and about 12 months ago, I upgraded the 16GB's of RAM to 32GB's, utilising the other two ram slots and I also upgraded the two HDD's to 2x 1TB SSD units. It has all run an utter dream for ages, until maybe the last couple of months, where I started to get the BSOD and various memory dumps. Sometimes there would be a 'page fault error' sometimes there would be nothing. They happened infrequently, so after a restart, it would be ok. Then a couple of weeks ago, it became ridiculous, it would fail three times before booting up, it wouldn't even let me boot up into safe mode.
I thought it might be software, so I installed windows 8pro, upgraded to 8.1+media centre (two days ago)... its crashed twice now, but with the same reason: KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE

Sorry if I've gone into too much detail, but i'm desperate as I have a lot of valuable info that I don't want to have to move and format and lose etc
Thx

Hello! Excuse my age on the forums, but I know a decent bit about this stuff. Both Dump files point to wdf0100.sys, but with no STOP code as the dump did not complete properly it appears. wdf0100.sys points to 'hardware problems' or more specifically, computer mice. However, it can sometimes (rarely I would say) be caused by kernel corruption. If it is the mouse/touch pad (as your computer is a Laptop), go into device manager and try to update all drivers for the mouse or uninstall them all, reboot, and they will re install on their own. Based on the fact that the crash occurred around 24 minutes in (for the first dump), you should be able to do this. In some BIOS'es (for me it is F2 for setup), there is an option to disable it, and in windows, there is always an option to do so. Hope this helps!

Hey, age is of absolutely no concern, a solution to my problem and a 'blood oath of protection' is offered to the person who can ease my troubled machine... In LITERALLY (thanks to the super fast booting of my SSD's and the max capacity RAM) the last 8-10mins, I have had three more crashes (ironically enough trying to give your hypothesis an attempt), and each with a TOTALLY different 'reason'..
First BSOD : BAD_POOL_ERROR

SECOND BSOD : KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

Third BSOD (which kicked in halfway through the shutdown sequence of the previous BSOD above ! : SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

and you'll never believe it, right then (as I've had to revert to the *looks around for privacy and whispers really softly* Apple IPad to reply to you) as I was typing this not doing anything had another BSOD: NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM Ntfs.sys

the only thing I've done in the last 11 or so hours since i posted my original 'please help' thread, was install new firmware updates for my two 1TB SSD's... Thought it might help. I was wrong. This is getting crazy, ill do another crash dump and post it, even if it takes me three dumps to do it... The best ive done is unplug the USB mouse and turn it off so far, I think any second that I can spend gathering information for anyone of you, the 'necromancers of computer blue screen faults', the better... Now that the 'reasons' for the crash are totally different and coming at me from every direction, I cant even pin down if I'm doing one particular thing and its happening, it's basically got a life of its own

allow me to sacrifice my problem to the dark arts, i need some help and fast.... Please....

btw, row, ive just tried twice, i managed to get the crash dump file thing, but I tried to zip it up and ive BSODed again! this time the old favourite : SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

Ill post this and try frantically in the background to get a new crash dump zip up (if it helps) next ill go in safe mode (but like my original post ive BSODed in there too, its beginning to sound like i have a major problem right ? Anyone ?

pps 10mins later: have managed to upload the new zip after two more crashes.. system service exception again... help me !

If you keep getting different errors I would suspect the ram. Try testing it with 16GB of ram. If the problems stop the strips you removed probably need to be replaced.

If it keeps getting different errors, I would, like alkaufmann said, run memtest. If no errors appear, it might be a hardware problem, or a problem with your OS Installation, or more probable, your boot drive. NTFS file system points to either an installation error, or that the drive has bad sectors, even for an SSD. After Memtest, run scans on your drive. Surface scans though, I am not sure how those would work on an SSD but... Give it a shot. Also try Hiren's Boot CD, that has a ton of software on it that will accomplish this as well.

Sorry for the delay in responding. There just aren't that many people who do BSOD analysis, so at times we get a bit overwhelmed!

Do your still need help with this problem?

Thanks for the replies guys, I have flown out (I work away) and was unable to try out the memtest etc in the time I had left. I will be back in front of my laptop in about 10 days or so and will begin troubleshooting from there, rest assured, I will keep you updated on my progress. Thankyou once again.
