I have Dell Laptop XPS L501X and installed Windows 8 Consumer Preview. Every time I power on my laptop, i am unable to access my Wifi Internet connection at first place and I need to restart my laptop. On Restarting, It displays the message "DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE". After restarting my Laptop, the Internet connection works fine.
The problem is.... I have to Restart my laptop every time i power it on. Otherwise I am unable to use my internet connection.

Is there any solution to this problem..?? where without Restarting my laptop I can use my Internet connection..... Any help will be useful...

    Waiting for your replies....

    Hi,

Visit Dell.com, download the Windows 7 wireless driver for your model and install it.

    https://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19

Check the device manager to see which verion you have so you can choose the right one.

In device manager, right click on it. Properties | Details tab

Change the dropdown to say hardware ids. Copy/paste the results here...

For some reason, I don't think that such a newer driver would cause the power failure issue.

    C:\Windows\Minidump

Copy the files in there to any other folder, then zip or rar them. Attach the zip or rar here and we will see what driver is actually throwing fits, along with its date.
