You're finding it annoying, but in reality, you've successfully repaired a drastic problem with your machine; the worst problem there can possibly be, apart from faulty hardware:
Now, I do not get the "Driver_Power_State_Failure" error message.
    So congrats on that!

As for your needing a reboot issue: You need to set the device manager properties for it to disallow Windows to turn off to save power. Right click it | Properties | Power Management tab

Also, check your power options settings.

Another good thing to do is check on anything in the bios that might shut it off.

I really appreciate your help..... without it i may wouldn't be able to solve my BSOD problem. But now this restarting issue is really pissing me off...

The problem is. Suppose My laptop is power off. i place the lappy on table insert my AC Power adapter in it. switch its power on. and then i enter my login password. I see my Metro Start Screen. i select on Desktop and from there i open Window Explorer (it works fine). i open my music folder and play my selected song. Still the system is working fine. Then i open Internet explorer and enter URL - Google. Now the IE shows unable to Connect. Then i open Firefox and it also shows the message "Unable to find Server"....The system is working fine. Rest all other features and options are in correct place and working fine. (This is the problem i cant access internet on the 1st place when i power on my laptop). Only problem is with the Internet connection.
Now i RESTART my Laptop. and do the same thing... Enter login password - Desktop - Explorer - Music - play song and then i Open Internet Explorer and enter URL - Google. This time it opens the website. Even on firefox... and the system works fine with the other features also....

The main problem is.... I have to restart my laptop every time i power it on (even if shutdown or Hibernate) if i have to use Internet connection. without restarting i cant access Internet.

    I hear ya...

It sounds to me like some kind of router configuration. I would first try to change the channel it is using to a different one. I would also lower the beacon interval to 40 ms. Set the Preamble type to short if your router has the options.

Let me ask this - when you installed the driver for it - did it also install any application that starts with Windows? If so, uninstall that application but do not uninstall the driver. Reboot and test.

After uninstall, check services.msc for the WLAN Auto Config service to be set to Auto.

Good idea also to disable IPv6 in the wireless adapter's network configuration page and disable IP Helper service too. Do not do this if you use Homegroup to share, however.

Hey, I dont think i have a driver problem, but I am having the exact same problem with the internet! With windows7 i never had such problems. I would try to connect but it would say "connection is taking longer than usual" then the status would be limited and still not work. Now everytime i turn on my computer, or simply wake it from sleep i have to rest the laptop or run the troubleshoot to fix it.. even so the internet work there is still that yellow exclamation mark over the signal icon.

    thanks, Stuart

Oh sorry, I really forgot to mention the same thing. I too get the exclamation mark on the Network Connection and it says "Limited Connection". When i restart my Lappy, after that there is no Limited Connection Icon on Network Connection.
I have checked the Drivers properties and found that the option "Allow the computer to turn off to save power" was checked. Now i have unchecked it, and will test next time i power on my lappy, if the problem persist or not....

    Thanks for the Help....

The problem still persists when I boot up. After running the troubleshoot these are the changes that are made and allow the internet to work, but still leaving the exclamation mark.

I made the changes in the properties of wireless network adapter. Where it asks "Allow computer to switch off the adapter to save power". I uncheck this option and then i restarted my lappy. On next day when i power on my lappy, I still needed to restart it to work on internet.

still there is no change and i have to restart my lappy again and again. The problem persists...
