BSOD with multiple apps opening-Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error

So I built this PC about 4 months ago. The last three have seen sporadic BSOD's.

The two I get are

Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error

and

Critical_Process_Died

They vary on when they pop up and I don't know the pattern. They usually happen when I open or close multiple apps at once and rarely when I have multiple apps running. I run 4 diablo 3 clients with no problems. They tend to run when skype is running in the background as well.

But here's the kicker, the computer doesn't create a dump file when it crashes. None. Not on it's own at least. I had to use driver verifier and NotMyFault to properly create one. It almost instantly shuts down when the errors happen on their own and doesn't reboot properly. It goes to a black screen that says "press any key to boot from...." And when I press a key it just repeats itself. Note: I have all my settings set to Complete Memory Dump, write a dump file, set to the default location, and to reboot when it crashes. It never even prompts me to send an error report to microsoft.

I've updated and rolled back the driver supposedly responsibly (my NVidia driver) with no effect. I'm told it could also be a RAM issue, so I'm turning to a forum for help.

Here's the dump files created with Driver Verifier and NotMyFault

They both, however, produced errors that were different from what I normally get, so I don't know if they'll help much.

That's all I think I know. I may know more, just forgetting probably. Maybe. Ask questions. I'll be watching this thread with great interest.

Thanks ahead of time for any help.

If the system isn't producing memory dumps on it's own, then we have to wonder about why. There's many, many reasons for this - have a look at this link for an incomplete description of the memory dump generation process: BSOD Crash Dump Generation

As the system appears to have been reinstalled 2 days ago, it's likely to be missing a lot of the signs that there is a problem. I did note that there were three (3) Live Kernel Events on 26 June. These are events that says Windows doesn't know why it's shut down. They can be from hardware problems, BSOD's, or even just holding the power button down to shut off the system. Again, as it's a fresh install, the patterns that we look for may not be there. I'd suggest:
- running the hardware diagnostics that I suggest later on in this post ( Hardware Diagnostics )
- providing this info to see if there's any info that we can get:
Please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (run eventvwr.msc from the "Run" dialog))
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

While waiting for a reply, please monitor your temps with this free utility: HWMonitor CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting

Only 51 Windows Updates installed. Most systems have 60 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

Don't worry about the specific number, it's just important that you have checked and installed any updates that were available.

The latest memory dump is due to NotMyFault. Please remove the program from your system while we're troubleshooting.

The other memory dump is Driver Verifier enabled and it blames your nVidia video drivers.
As there are only 2 memory dumps here, this isn't sufficient to tell if this is a hardware/low-level error or a driver error.

1) Please turn Driver Verifier off if you haven't already.
2) Please try uninstalling your video drivers, then install a fresh copy of the latest, Win8.1 compatible version.
3) Check the video card to be sure that it's properly seated, that any additonal power plugs are firmly seated and providing power, that it's free of dust/dirt/hairballs, that it's fan is working (if so equipped), and that it's receiving cool(er) air rather than heated air from another cooler.
4) Please monitor your temps with this free utility: HWMonitor CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting
5) It won't hurt to run these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics Start with the video tests.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Sorry it took so long. Tried a bunch of different things to try to solve myself. (Switching RAM modules, updating, etc.) Here is the admin.extv file per your request.

I think I've figured out a reason for all the problems though. When the system reboots, it doesn't make a dump file, but what's more, it doesn't detect the hard drive on the automatic reboot. I have to manually reboot after the automatic reboot for it to be detected. I know this, because when going into the BIOS, only the disc drive is available to boot from. No HDD. My conclusion is that my HDD is damaged, however, the diagnostics showed nothing wrong with it. At least the one time I ran them. I will run them again, and await a reply in response to the admin.extv results.

Thank you ahead of time for any assistance.

More BSOD's are solved by the owner of the system than are solved by all the BSOD analysts.
We help to point the way, but you are the expert on your system.

What you describe is probably the reason that the system doesn't write memory dumps.
Since the drive isn't seen initially, WIndows can't write a dump file to it.
And Windows can't carry that info over to a second boot.

I'd look to boot issues in Windows first. I'd post over in the General Support - Windows 8 Forums for assistance with boot issues. This may require a wipe/reinstall of the system (at some point), so make sure that you have a good backup on hand.

You can run these free diagnostics on the hard drive (can't recall if I've suggested them already): Hard Drive Diagnostic Procedure

No further patterns noted in the Admin Event Log. It's most likely hardware/overheating that causes the shutdowns. It's unknown what's causing the issues with recognizing the hard drive (but we suspect that it'd be the same issue as the shutdowns).
