Hi there, sorry for the delay in posting, was away from my computer and had to finish running tests on some things I tried. Just downloaded Speedfan and am running it, will report back with temps.

Meanwhile, I have given my video card a thorough cleaning, switched the PCIe slot it was connected to, reinstalled my NVIDIA driver, and verified/repaired any program that has been crashing. The result is that my BSOD errors have for the moment disappeared!

I'm still not entirely sure if this has resolved anything, so I'll keep testing things out and report back later. Particularly, I want to switch back the PCIe slot the GPU is hooked to and see if the problem returns.

Sorry for the long delay again, wasn't running programs that produce the issue for a while. However, the problem is fixed. Let me run down what has happened:

My video card was running too hot (into the 90's near immediately in stress tests), so I replaced that as even if it wasn't causing the problem, that is still too hot. Now I'm running a Sapphire R9 280x. That did not fix the problem.

I then did another format and fresh install of Windows, to try and rule out corruption or any settings that were set incorrectly. This did not solve the problem either.

I had also run the Windows memory diagnostic and MemTest86 earlier, and found no errors. Having no other ideas, I kept running MemTest and found 1 error in 1 pass (after running 12 passes the second time around).

I then bought another stick of RAM and replaced the one I had prior, and THAT FIXED IT.

    Faulty RAM was the culprit.
