I've having an issue that I think some ppl had, windows 8 crashing going to blue screen of death or blank black screen and then it restarts by itself, also I have noticed that it says repairing disk in D:/

I have one SSD 120gb in the C:/ which it host the operating system and some minnor programs, in a HDD which is my D:/ drive there I have my games.

ASRock 990FX Extreme 9
AMD FX 8350
Kingston Hyper X 120GB SSD
WD black 500GB HDGB HDD
Corsair Vengeance 8gb Ram 2133Hz
Windows 8

Thanks for the time, if more info is needed I willl gather it and post it

Update, seems that some tweaking did fix the problem, go to search and type power, in the left click on the one that says change what power buttons do, then uncheck the box that it says turn on fast startup (recomended) then save changes and a restart and youre done -at least for me it worked-

Update, well the crash was fixed but now it freezes when left in idle long time. First time it did was yesterday night that I left it downloading games and when I turned the monitor on it was frozen...

I've attached the events that have been happening just trying to pin point better the root of the problem...

thanks for your time

Sorry for the delay in responding. There just aren't that many people who do BSOD analysis, so at times we get a bit overwhelmed!

I can't read the text file very easily - and that makes it difficult to look for patterns in it.
Please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (run eventvwr.msc from the "Run" dialog))
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

There are issues with the activation of the OS. If this isn't a legal copy of the OS, it could well be your problem. If it is a legal copy, then we have to wonder why it's spitting out activation errors.

Please try this:
Then please run the following DISM commands to see if there's any problems with the system (from an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt). Press Enter after each one:
Code:
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
Code:
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
Code:
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

FYI - I have repaired systems using the last command even though problems weren't found with the first 2 - so I suggest running them all.

From this article: Repair a Windows Image

You can also run sfc.exe /scannow from an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt to check for further corruption.

Also, please uninstall Corsair Link as it is known to cause problems with some Windows systems (and it's driver dates from 2008).

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Corsair link gone, Will get a new copy of windows 8 as soon as I can. Did the Scanning like you told me and it seems everything is in order. Don't know why CPU-Z shows up since I don't have it anymore but will look into it and this one is weird (asr app charger) since my motherboard doesn't support it but will look into it with calm, cfos speed I don't like it and will remove it since it's a headache.

But that can be a problem for freezing/black screen/restarting?

It might be.
We will continue to troubleshoot your problems here, but I am not skilled enough to fix the errors from sfc.exe or the CBS log files.

You can provide this info for me to have a look at (it sometimes shows patterns that can point to the cause of freezes/black screens:

Please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (run eventvwr.msc from the "Run" dialog))
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

While waiting for a reply, please monitor your temps with this free utility: HWMonitor CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting

FYI - freezing/black screen issues are much harder to fix than BSOD's. At work we don't try very hard to fix them. We use system restore and if that doesn't work, we wipe the hard drive and reinstall Windows.

The event logs show that the system is frequently shutting down without reason.

This can be due to overheating (use this free tool to monitor the temps: HWMonitor CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting
It can also be due to shutting the system down by holding the power button down. Have you been doing this?
Finally, it can also be due to hardware problems. Please run these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics

update; I ran furmark and the first time it crashed after 5 seconds of running, the second time lasted fopr 30 seconds and crashed. Then I ran prime 95 and the screen went black but the pc was on and fans etc where running but with no heat coming from the cpu rad, gpu or power supply had to turn it off in the power supply then on and hit the power button and it sort of went of and on two times then loaded windows and was running nice. did run some tests for the SSD and the HDD and they came excelent. every type of test that involves stress of the hardware seems to crash my system but then again even in idle it crashes...more updates soon later on the week

System shuts off while running video stress tests.
It's most likely the video card.

Remove the video card and try another one.
Run Furmark to see if it crashes.

If you don't have another video card, you'll have to purchase one from a shop that accepts returns (so you can get your money back if not needed).

Good luck!

Before I did that I ran Furmark again but after Bios update, I did leave it running for about 4 hours and it didn't crash however, when I ran prime 95 it crashed after few minutes

Furmark stresses the video card

Prime95 stresses:
- RAM
- memory controller (on the CPU for the AMD FX 8350)
- CPU cache
Blend test primarily stresses RAM

Run MemTest86+ for a minimum of 3 passes
Run CPU stress tests

Huge update

Since a while I did ran some tests and the results were bad. As of two weeks I've changed the motherboard and cpu (moved from AMD to intel) Which are Rampage IV Black Edition and i7 4820k and windows 8.1 oem legal version. PSU went out after installing windows 8.1 and is on RMA, I used another psu I had and the system is running smooth like butter had no crash, errors, blue screens nothing at all. I rooted the problem to a mere cpu problem the FX 8350 was a little off and doing instable things, also the windowes 8 I had was creating errors and the motherboard AM3+ was getting me insane... problem is fivxed and tanks for your time and patience :)
