Seemingly Random BSODs on newly built PC

    Hi again John.
Disabled that service before going to run some errands, looks like some errors occured while I was gone (by peeking a look at event viewer). Though i don't know how to check what kind of error it is. Here are the event viewer logs.

If there are errors, I guess the nvidia streaming service wasn't the issue.

    Next step, your stress tests?

totally off-topic question but do you have any concerns if my computer hit a bsod the other day while a windows update installation was underway? When it rebooted it kept cycling into the blue screen trying to install updates and kept hitting 30% then rebooting. So i hard rebooted and it booted normally after that... any concerns?

I see printer problems, Intel Update Manager problems, and .NET issues in the Event Viewer log - but nothing stands out saying that it's the problems.

Just in case, uninstall the printer software, the Intel Update Manager, and .NET - then reinstall them with freshly downloaded versions.

As for the BSOD's, please zip up the contents of C:\Windows\Minidump and upload them with your next post.
You may have to copy it to your Desktop in order to zip it up.

Done, done, and done (sort of, could not figure out how to "remove" .net so just found latest version and installed).

Had a few crashes last night trying to play a game.

Where are you getting the $Rxxxx named dumps from?

Have you tried another video card yet? If so, when (in relation to the different BSOD's)
Have you done the video diagnostics yet? If so, what were the results?

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

    Hi John,
I have downloaded and updated the latest from Samsung.

I think it's a hardware issue, most likely. I think I'll try some stress testing and get back to you.
Or maybe just swapping cards and testing the second pc with it would be the better test. I'll try both.

    OK.

-Ran FurMark, no issues. Topped out at 80c.

-Ran Video Memory Stress Test v 1.7.116

Could only run on 1gb of GPU memory, rather than full 4GB due to program limitations (which can be fixed with command line arguments but I was not comfortable trying this given the scant information in the readme file).

Found 2216 errors on that test.

Too many to paste here, attached text file.

Just pulled the GPU after those bad results (Are they bad?).

On reboot got two bsods, one PFN List Corrupt and one Mem Management. It's possible they were due to the fact I swapped my monitor to the onboard graphics and the driver wasn't installed yet. Now it is, will see if i get any errors. However, I still find it odd the bsods are always memory related.

While i wait for your reply I will re test the other stick of ram.

Wait to see if the system BSOD's with the GPU out. If it does, zip up and upload the contents of C:\Windows\Mindump (you may have to copy it to your Desktop in order to zip it up).

Where did you get the $RCB8UJP.dmp and the $RZKW22N.dmp file from (what directory?)

Most BSOD's involve memory - that's where most of the severe errors happen.
And that's why the BSOD generates a "memory" dump - as that's where the action is!

    Ok...
Will keep an eye out with GPU out.

I tested the ram in Memtest 86+ (both sticks this time) for about 12 hours, no errors. That thing is not helping at all.

With two sticks in again (today first day in the past week) I am getting the errors in Chrome alot again, had not had that for awhile. Makes me wonder if the GPU and RAM need to be RMA'd. I'm at that point where I just want to send everything off I'm so fed up. This has eaten up so many hours of my life and still not enjoying my new pc. Arg.

There's so little documentation with the video memory test online, but what do you think of those 2000 errors? Do the logs say anything to you?
