Thanks usasma for spilling out the beans on this one ^_^.

Unfortunately, the board is not allowing me to thank you again for this post <_<

This seems very useful in some cases.

sooo... Thank you for all the responses, I ended up completely formatting my PC and re-installing Windows 8.1. unfortunately I just received (yet again) another BSOD after playing Battlefield 4 for 30 minutes. I received the BSOD once the game had finished. :S

    Damn this sucks so bad.

Just started Driver Verifier and was prompted to reboot my PC after selecting the correct settings. Once I booted my PC back up I got an instant BSOD. I now can't seem to log back or recover from a restore point in as I am now receiving constant BSOD..

I will start analyzing your Dump files shortly, till the time please follow the instructions below to get back into Windows. Use the below link. The instructions for disabling driver verifier in various conditions are a bit later :-

    Driver Verifier Settings

EDIT :- The debugger is not able to read many parts of the Dump file, so could you please provide with the latest dump files generated by the driver verifier and lets see if we can find the cause.

Furthermore, I found this in the stack :-

    Win8.1Pro - Finally!!!

Are you able to get back into your PC yet?
If not, try this method: Disable Verifier Outside Windows (Vista / 7 / 8) - Sysnative Forums (I haven't tried it myself).

If that doesn't work, there's 2 other things:
    - mount the registry remotely and delete the Driver Verifier settings there
    - reinstall Windows 8 again (which will remove the Driver Verifier settings).
