Yea, so i had it with Windows 8. It took me months of trying to install 8, then 8.1 without it freezing all the time, and as it turned out the manufacturers gave me a big ol' faulty hdd, so i had to reinstall windows. I could install 8, but when i tried to install 8.1 same freeze occoured while "making some last changes" or something like that, and when i reset, it usually reverts to 8. BUT, windows decided that it's not my friend anymore, and instead of reverting, it just gets in a freaking loop of bad system config info BSoD with the sad face. So i had a little brains and burned ubuntu 14.04 before updating, so i could at least use my pc. Now, any tips?

There is nothing wrong with the system, it's the OS. I used the exact same hdd before without any firmware updates, and this never happened. And how the bloody hell am i supposed to download and run an executable without getting into the os?
