I was scanning my computer for virus's 2 days ago when the computer locked up. So I shut it down and restarted it. I got a BSOD saying NTFS_FILESYSTEM. I restarted the computer and same error. I then loaded up Parted Magic to run Clam AV and started that but when I went to look at the program Parted Magic I noticed that my EFI System Partition has no file system and is blackened out. I do have a Acronis backup unforturnatly it's 3 month's old but it's better than nothing. I also have tried using a Windows Recovery thumb drive to fix the startup issue. I chose the "Fix Startup Issues" option and it started to do something and said it would take hours but then all the sudden it restarted and when I tried to run the Startup fixer it said it couldnt do anything about it. Is there a way to rebuild that EFI System Partition? I dont know what I should do. I would like to fix it but at least anything I use Parted Magic to get my personal documents and things onto a external drive for a backup and then do a fresh install. But would rather see if anyone has an answer or any ideas. Thanks in advance.

Backup first. This is possibly a dead/dying hard drive so it's important to get the data first.
Then try hard drive diagnostics: Hard Drive Diagnostic Procedure
