Solved BSOD at startup and lid closed DPC Watchdog

Most of the time when my laptop startup i got a BSO with DPC Watchdog.
After a phew restarts I can login normally and nothing happens.

When i close the lid for a while and I come back my laptop also is restarted because of a BSOD.
Can someone check my logs?

Only 34 Windows Updates installed. Most systems have 60 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).

Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): New link (15 Aug 2012): DuplexSecure - Downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).

Thank you for your response.

I already have all Windows Updates. It doesn't find new updates if I search.
Maybe because I installed Win 8.1 and updated from there. And not from windows 8.

I've also installed the latest Intel Rapid Storage manager and removed daemon tools and installed the file you provided.

For the ATK0101 driver for my Asus i can't find a newer one then the one I have now.

With the new Rapid Storage drivers install i get a BSOD when i run SpeedFan and it detects my hard drives.

Please zip up and upload the contents of C:\Windows\Minidump. You may have to copy them to your Desktop in order to zip them up.

Also....

Your BIOS dates from 2011. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please be advised that flashing the BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard.

Please remove LogMeIn Hamachi temporarily. It was blamed in one of the memory dumps that were listed in the WER section of MSINFO32.

Please update your Bluetooth drivers from the Asus website as they were involved in the memory dumps.

If the BSOD's continue after this, please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

Hi.

I've attached the minidumps.
The bios is the latest available. I have a ASUS k53SV and they don't release anymore BIOS drivers.

For the bluethoot, my laptop doesn't have it. So I don't know why it's involved in the minidump.

The sptd.sys driver for Daemon Tools is still installed and likely is causing BSOD's. Please follow the directions above to remove the sptd.sys dirve.

This memory dump blames the iaStorA.sys driver
But your iaStor.sys driver dates from 2010.
Please provide a link to the download that you got the Intel Rapid Storage driver from.

Don't worry about the other drivers for now - they're much less likely to be a problem than the 2 I mentioned in this post.

I did exactly again what you said.
So I also removed the intel storage rapid driver and downloaded and installed it again.
I downloaded it from the intel download center and chose the latest version.

After that i ran the driver verification and did all the steps.
After reboot and log in I directly got a BSOD from the driver verifier.
So i had to boot in safe mode to turn it off.

Driver Verifier points to NvStreamKms.sys - an nVidia driver that belongs to the nVidia Streaming Kernel service.
Check this post out for a possible fix: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/573811/nvidia-streamer-service-may-be-freezing-your-pc/
Or, you may want to uninstall the nVidia drivers and then install a fresh copy without the Streaming Kernel Service (I'm not familiar with nVidia drivers, so I don't even know if this is possible).

Omg, thank you so much.
I disabled the service and stopped it.
Now i enabled the driver verifier again and still running it without a BSOD
even when typing this.

I think it's solved! =D
How long do i need to keep the driver verifier enabled?

I cheered too soon

.

Let my laptop on for a phew minutes and came back and had a BSOD again from the driver verifier.
Her is the new minidump.

Can you see what is causing it now? Cus the NVIDIA streaming service is disabled.

Please turn Driver Verifier OFF. The purpose of Driver Verifier is to cause BSOD's - so it may even trip up a normally behaving driver.

Then it depends on what errors we see that'll make us choose/not choose Driver Verifier again.

Please note the drivers below that date from before the release of Windows 8.1 (17 Oct 2013) - check to see that each and every one is compatible w/Windows 8.1 (at the manufacturer's website). If not, you must either remove the device and it's software - or locate a Windows 8.1 compatible update on the web. Removing some drivers may make the system unstable - so if you're unable to find updates, post back for info on the one's that can/cannot be safely removed.

Thank you!

Turned off driver verifier and hadn't had any BSOD anymore while using my laptop.

He is working fine again and I can do anything again without worrying about a BSOD.

I am very happy! I wil mark the thread as resolved!
