BSOD / DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION when Logging In

Recently I got a new HP ENVY computer. I took out the Hybrid Drive and replaced it with a new SSD 480GB. I reinstalled the O/S and drivers as to what seemed to be done correctly. For the most part, everything has been working pretty ordinary until maybe the last couple weeks. My SSD is partitioned in two, C: for programs, E: for files.

This violation started occurring about 2 weeks ago and ONLY happens when I lock my computer or it goes to sleep and then I attempt to log back in. If I do a restart it starts up fine and I can log in fine. I included my computer files below from the logs.

I have attempted to go through and ensure drivers are installed properly. Not sure if I may be missing any? I read a few other cases but none that seem to fit the same description, however, I did see something about audio which may correlate to mine as well.

Also, a related note...I did some windows updates about a week ago thinking that could have been the cause. It seemed to go away for a couple days, but then just started occurring again last night.

Just FYI - Windows Updates are rarely the cause of a problem.
If they are, you'll see all sorts of posts about it on the internet. And Microsoft will respond with a fix very quickly.

But most of the problems attributed to Windows Updates are actually due to incompatible or poorly written drivers that aren't written in accordance with the "best practices" standard. While they may work just fine with a system, there's no telling how they'll react with the new updates. The "best practices" standard minimizes this problem and you'll find that those who use generally have more reliable products.

'nuff said....

From the reports I think that I see 2 problems
- Hamdrv.sys - a component of LogMeIn Hamachi
- Bluetooth drivers

So:
- uninstall LogMeIn Hamachi (if needed, reinstall the latest, Win8.1 comaptible version AFTER the system has been stabilized).
- update Bluetooth drivers to the latest, Win8.1 compatible version (Win8 versions won't work, as they sometimes have issues with Win8.1).

As your LogMeIn Hamachi driver is date stamped 15 Apr 2014, I'd have to wonder why this is causing errors.
It could be:
- a corruption in the driver
- an incompatibility in the driver
- a problem with another driver (this is my biggest concern for your system) I'll suggest Driver Verifier if the BSOD's continue (later on in this post)

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

If all of this doesn't stop the BSOD's, please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings
If the BSOD's start back up (if you reinstall LogMeIn Hamachi), then run Driver Verifier for those issues also.

Thank you usasma for the response to my problem a while back.

I had began to have multiple weird issues and my gut feeling was that when I got the laptop new and instantly switched out to a SSD, I didn't complete something within the setup correctly. So I went ahead and cleared, wiped the laptop and started fresh. Already it seems to be running smoothly and I have been able to get the drivers loaded back in efficiently.

My only question was, is there a way that you can quickly do an overview of my Diag of my newly redone computer just to ensure nothing sticks out like a sore thumb? I'll go ahead and post it, but if this isn't something that can be easily achieved, I understand.

Thank you for your hard work and time!

No memory dumps in the uploaded reports. I presume that you aren't experiencing BSOD's.

Only 51 Windows Updates installed (there were also some Windows Update failures in the WER section of MSINFO32). Most systems have 70 to 90 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all). If you continue to get errors, please post over in the Windows Updates and Activation forums: Windows Updates & Activation - Windows 8 Forums

Don't worry about the specific number, it's just important that you have checked and installed any updates that were available (and didn't experience any errors).

The drivers for this device aren't installed:
Not Available ACPI\HPQ6007\3&11583659&0 The drivers for this device are not installed.
Most likely this is the HP 3D DriveGuard software. Download and install the latest, Win8.1 compatible version from the HP support page for your model.

No signs of BSOD's in the WER section of MSINFO32.

Other than that everything looks fine to me.
Good luck!
