Hi folks, i got a Windows 8 PC recently, and occasionally it would BSOD with dpc_watchdog_violation but i thought nothing of it. However recently playing Assassins Creed 3 i get this BSOD quite often, after about an hour of gameplay.

I've tried sfc scanning but it says everything's OK.

I've attached the required logs, thanks in advance.

Edit: I noticed in the zip file my dump file is 0kb, i just set windows to write minidumps and played til i got another BSOD, however when it went to BSOD it said it was collecting info, but this stayed on 0%. I manually restarted but the dump file on c:/ remains unchanged, also my memory.dmp apparently hasn't been modified since last year, despite multiple BSODs since then with logs set to automatic.

Is there any reason that you haven't updated to Win8.1 yet (it's free)?
I only ask to see if there were problems with it.

Only 127 Windows Updates installed. Most systems have 160 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

C: drive only has about ½% free space. Windows likes 15% free space in order to perform stuff "behind the scenes" without adversely affecting the system's performance. Please free up 15% on ALL hard drives (you can get away with 10% on larger drives and won't notice a large performance penalty) IMO this is a major problem and could be the cause of your problems. As such, it MUST be fixed before proceeding.

Many, many Live Kernel Events in the WER section of MSINFO32 (and only 1 Blue Screen event). This could be the memory dumps that aren't being collected, or they could be other problems. Please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (run eventvwr.msc from the "Run" dialog))
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).
