When I upgraded to windows 8, I kept my music on an external hard drive. I opened up microsoft zune to import my music and it popped up with error code C00D0BBE: DRM could not be used. I looked for a fix, but the fix is dependent on windows media player, which windows 8 does not have. I can refresh the licenses, but it won't do any good if I don't have windows media player or the windows DRM component. Can anyone help me?

Does the device show up as a usable device in Settings > Account after opening Zune and logging in? If not, your problem is larger than playing music.
