Nice, thorough work on the AMD video drivers!
Did you run the rest of the diagnostics (Prime95, FurMark, the other video tests, and the CPU stress test)?
Hardware Diagnostics
If so, what were the results of them (they run from within Windows)?
If you passed the Seagate Long test, then we presume the hard drive is good (I can't recall if you have run the HP diagnostics or not). Unfortunately, hard drive problems aren't just tested by the one test - so there can still be problems that may seem related to it (things like file system filter drivers, bad cables/slots, etc)
The latest memory dumps blame memory corruption. If we presume that this is a hardware issue, we have to wonder where the corruption is coming from (hardware or software?)? How long ago did you run MemTest? Was it the latest version (5.01 for MemTest86+ from here:
Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool ) Was the memtest run with all the RAM in place, or just one stick?
Memory can be in other places (video card, motherboard, CPU, even the hard drive, etc). Prime95 is a good test for most memory, and the video and CPU tests in the diagnostics I suggested can help to rule that out also.
The latest memory dump was corrupted - but of a corruption I haven't seen before. The dump actually ran, but the drivers have errors in the names (and the one's that I saw were only the Windows drivers - not the 3rd party ones). Normally I'd suspect that the hard drive was to blame for this - but part of the dump generation process passes through memory, so it could also be that. And if only the Windows drivers are corrupted - what's the cause of that?
Have you run chkdsk /r /f on each of the volumes of this hard drive (C: and D
?
If so, what were the results?
If not, it must be run from an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt - and the system may ask you if you want to do it after a reboot. Answer Y or Yes and reboot the system (it may take a while to run).
When you recovered your system, did you:
- Refresh
- Reset
- recover using the recovery partition
- recover using the HP recovery drive/disks
- recover using the Microsoft recovery drive
Please make a recovery drive/set of disks using the HP software as it may be necessary to start the system over in order to rule out Windows problems. Also, be sure to backup your stuff so that it doesn't disappear when restoring the system.
As these seem to also have a network component, please:
- update your wired and wireless network drivers to the latest available versions
- update you bluetooth drivers to the latest available version
- update the drivers for any USB devices to the latest available version
I note multiple issues with USB device VID_046D&PID_C52B in the WER section of MSINFO32.
One solution is to check C:\Windows\Inf for the usb.inf file. If not present, post back and we'll see if we can locate a copy for you (from this post:
Previously known usb devices stop being recognized - Microsoft Community )
This device is actually the USB receiver from Logitech. In order to test it you'll have to use a regular USB mouse and keyboard - and then remove the Logitech software and then remove the USB receiver from the computer..
Just FYI - I have a Logitech TrackBall and I use the Logitech software - and I still have some unexplained "glitches" on my system that I think are attributed to this software. If I didn't need it, I'd gladly get rid of it.
Finally, let's give Driver Verifier a try (since the last 3 were all STOP 0x3B errors). Please follow these instructions:
