Upon powering on my notebook either things will happen:

1. Will lead me to a complete black screen where I can only move my cursor around then will blue screen and restart.

2. Scan and repair drive (Gets stuck then BSOD)

3. Show me options of refreshing / resetting etc but after completing a reresh or reset it'll BSOD

I've surfed through the forums and have been looking at some solutions but none of them have seemed to help.

Could you guys please give me a rough idea on what you guys recommend for me to do?

I've tried chkdsk and that has been stuck on for hours and hours. sfc /scannow does not allow me for some reason as well.

Are you able to get into Windows at all? If so, Please provide this information so we can provide a complete analysis (from the Pinned Topic at the top of the forum): http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-cra...e-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html Please use Option 1 as it provides Event Viewer logs.

If not, then I'd try a reset with the recovery disks. If you don't have them, you can order them from Asus. Here's a link on info about doing that in the US: Order Recovery Discs (USA)

If that still doesn't work, then start with these free, bootable diagnostics: Initial Hardware Diagnostics
If unable to boot to the discs, please post back for further instructions.
