Hello!
I've installed the latest drivers on my computer (Lenovo Y510P). Whenever I connect my computer to a projector and select "duplicate screen" option, I receive a BAD_POOL_CALLER error and my laptop restarts itself. I am using Windows 8 64 bit (6.2, Build 9200). I have uploaded the concerned dump file (zipped) in case it may be needed. Furthermore, I noticed that the same problem happens when I press Windows+P and then select the 'Duplicate' option even when I have not connected my laptop to a projector. Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks in anticipation !

Hi

The only crash dump you uploaded shows video driver related issues. The Nvidia driver currently installed on your system is a generic one which is not recommended for hybrid graphic configuration. It is better to stick with system manufacturer provided display driver in case of laptops with switchable graphics.I would recommend uninstalling currently installed version of both Intel and Nvidia drivers completely from the system and installing system specific driver tweaked by the OEM. While installing, Intel should be installed first and reboot the machine. Then install the Nvidia driver.

You can download the machine specific drivers from Drivers and software - IdeaPad Y510p Notebook

If the BSOD continues even after installing OEM display drivers, please follow instructions from http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-cra...e-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html
