BSOD using CE 6.3 Kernel_Security_Check_Failure

Hello fellow W8Forums members!
I'm here to ask about a BSOD that I'm getting everytime I use Cheat Engine 6.3
The most I remember is when I use it with another program, which is a game, it gives me a BSOD within a few minutes and tells me to look up "Kernel_Security_Check_Failure"
This happens everytime, but after a short period of time everytime I use it.

I would like to find out a fix, it would be very helpful. I'm ready to provide any information.
Also, this CE used to work about a year back, now it just doesn't. Would be helpful if you help me out here.

Thanks :)

Is there any reason that you haven't installed Win8.1 yet (it's free)? I only ask to see if there were problems with it. Don't install it until we've fixed your problems - as it'll complicate things.

Your BIOS dates from 2011. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please be advised that flashing the BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard.

Only 114 Windows Updates installed. Most systems have 160 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

C: drive only has less than 5% free space, E: drive has about 7% free space. Windows likes 15% free space in order to perform stuff "behind the scenes" without adversely affecting the system's performance. Please free up 15% on ALL hard drives (you can get away with 10% on larger drives and won't notice a large performance penalty)

Cracks and hacks don't work like normal programs and often have problems just because of them. We don't offer support for those here, so I suggest you remove them and see if the problem persists. You've also go a lot of stuff running out of your AppData folder - which is (IMO) either a sign of malware or a sign of poor programming. I would suggest several independent anti-malware scans to verify that your current protection is working adequately.

Intel Management Engine (ME) dates from 2009 and must be updated

LogMeIn drivers date from 2007/8 and must be removed (uninstalled).

HotSpotShield is known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems and must be uninstalled (especially as your verions dates from 2011)

Your Wireless drivers also date from 2011 and must be updated.

Please note the drivers below that date from before the release of Windows 8.1 (17 Oct 2013) - check to see that each and every one is compatible w/Windows 8.1 (at the manufacturer's website). If not, you must either remove the device and it's software - or locate a Windows 8.1 compatible update on the web. Removing some drivers may make the system unstable - so if you're unable to find updates, post back for info on the one's that can/cannot be safely removed.

If all of this doesn't stop the BSOD's, please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

I'm so very thankful for this man. Thank you so much for all this information that you put up. It was great, Just one more question, instead of all this I planned to maybe install Windows 8.1 itself.
But what happens if I reinstall Win 8 64 on this Drive, just as the same but a complete format, will anything change?
Or Windows 8.1 solves most of the problems?

Thanks for the quick reply man <3

Alright here goes.
Your explanations were pretty clear and fine, but lets not assume it was a cheat or a hack program. It was just a program.
That "program" worked for me fine, just a year ago. Now suddenly it just stopped after I used it after a long time, the same version, same everything.
You told me Windows 8.1 x64 would be great and fixed a lot of things.
I tried it on a PC with Windows 8.1 x64(friend's PC)
He got a BSoD too.
I'm just worried, the same program that used to work a year back. Doesn't work anymore, that too all of a sudden. What files are causing something like this to happen? Thanks.

Rather than using cheat/hack - let's just say unauthorized modification?

The point is that these things are done by experimentation and don't follow the accepted practices for developing code (in fact, they strive to find ways around the accepted practices). Unfortunately, the testing "base" is those of you using their modifications - so there's no easily accessible place for compiling the test results.

Then, when they do this, the original developer comes along and changes things (either deliberately to thwart these modifications - or simply as an improvement in the original code, which doesn't consider the modification at all). This'll break the modification and things won't work correctly (errors, BSOD's, etc)

This also includes Windows Updates and other program updates that use shared libraries of code. Since Windows has no knowledge of this modification, it doesn't test for it. Yet changes to the OS (using accepted practices) can then break the modification that's trying to get around it. There's no easy way of telling why it stopped working - unless the developer (or the modifier) delves into it.
