Hi gang. I upgraded to 8.1 (.1) yesterday...updated all my drivers and everything seemed great. I was typing an email in comodo dragon browser a few minutes ago and BOOM bsod. I'm hoping it's just a one off. If any of you seasoned bsod researchers could take a look i would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks for your time,
Scott

Hi Scott ^_^ ,

I am new in this field but will surely try to help you sort out the problem. I took a look at your DUMP file and it returned the bugcheck = "CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION (109)" which according to the MSDN docs has one of the following causes :-

There are generally two causes for this bug check:
A driver has inadvertently, or deliberately, modified critical kernel code or data. Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 (SP1) and later versions of Windows for x64-based computers do not allow the kernel to be patched except through authorized Microsoft-originated hot patches. For more information, see Patching Policy for x64-based Systems.
A hardware corruption occurred. For example, the kernel code or data could have been stored in memory that failed.

Interestingly, I found this case over Patrick's blog over here :- BSOD Kernel Dump Analysis: [SOLVED] Critical Structure Corruption Windows 8.1

and I have analyzed your driver list and found that you are also using Norton 360 Internet Security. The resolution in the above blog is listed as complete removal of Norton and "sptd.sys" but I found no trace of "sptd.sys" in your driver list. So could you please run this Norton Cleaner Tool which can be downloaded from here :- https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us...B19C8E11.4?entsrc=redirect_pubweb&pvid=f-home

Run this tool as Administrator and clean up that Norton. Please post back your results after this. In case of any problems, I would be glad to help you out again ^_^.

Furthermore I would advise you on updating the below drivers :-

Hi blue, thank you for your quick reply. I will be going to get the drivers you listed....one main thing i need to clarify is that my "360 internet security" is not norton. it's just called 360 internet security. it's new'ish. it has a cloud component and it's main engine i bitdefender. if i go through the troubleshooting steps you've listed and still have trouble, i'll uninstall and reinstall my anti virus, or change completely. thank you for your time, i'm off on my quest now

Hi,
I'm french and sorry for my bad English. In your thread you write the responsible of the bsod. It's comodo dragon.
My OS it's Windows 8.1.1 since 10 april 2014 and i install comodo dragon 3 days ago, after that a bsod appears. I uninstall
comodo and my computer was OK.
Bye.
