BSOD Diablo 3

When playing Diablo 3 and with constant loading and reloading of the game tons of slowdown randomly occurs to the eventual BSOD.

This is also paired with low performance overall for my 280X and I feel my setup should be having no issues. I have done my research and attempted to resolve the issue as the crash dump points to an ATI driver.

But that has yielded no progressive results, so I turn to you guys.

Is there any particular reason that you haven't installed Win8.1? I ask to see if there were any problems with it.

Only 120 Windows Updates installed. Most systems have 160 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

Is there any particular reason that you are not using UEFI or Secure Boot? I ask to see if there were any problems with it.

Quite a few Live Kernel Events in the WER section of MSINFO32.
Please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (run eventvwr.msc from the "Run" dialog))
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

While waiting for a reply, please monitor your temps with this free utility: HWMonitor CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting

I see a memory dump caused by myfault.sys - are you using Mark Russinovich's Blue Screen tool "Not My Fault"?
If so, please stop it from running and uninstall it immediately.

Aside from the myfault.sys memory dumps, the rest of the errors relate to your video card drivers and are a special BSOD coded into the driver by AMD. As such, I'm fairly confident that this is either an error with your video drivers, or with the hardware on the video card (there are other possibilities, but these are the most likely).

Please:
- download a fresh copy of the latest, Win8 compatible video drivers for you video card
- uninstall the current video drivers
- install the freshly downloaded video drivers
- monitor for further problems.

Also, check to make sure that the video card is getting cooled properly - that the cooler is making good contact with the GPU, that the cooler is free of dirt/dust, that the cooler fan is working and blowing into the cooler, that cool air is able to reach the cooler through the case, that the card is firmly seated in it's slot, and that all necessary power cords are firmly seated.

Then, if the problem persists, try these free hardware diagnostics (try all, but start with the video tests): Hardware Diagnostics

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

I uninstalled RealTemp, and installed the Hardware monitoring software you reccomended, so I believe that takes care of Winring0x64.

I updated to Windows 8.1. Honestly just out of being uninformed. I saw the update for 8.1 and couldn't be bothered to deal with it. I actually regret that, because it seems pretty nice so far.

As for Secure Boot and UEFI, I hadn't know these things existed I'm fairly new to PCS and did a lot of this stuff on my own. So, if there are improvements to be made I would love to hear them. And since you're referring to something that changes from the BIOS screen I'd assume both of these changes would have to be made on a fresh install?

Event log uploaded.

Complete uninstall on the Graphics drivers, grabbed the latest drivers from AMD website and installed only the hardware drivers, no more catalyst. Updated the Steelseries driver. For the intel drivers, I used their support utility from the intel website.

Going to give the game a whirl and will report back.

There's no need to do it right now (IMO).

No specific patterns in the Event log.
Sometimes a lack of patterns is a symptom of a hardware problem
Please continue to monitor your temperatures and complete the hardware diagnostics.
