New msi GT70 2OC random BSOD

Hi

Please follow the below instructions.

1. Uninstall Alchol 120%. Then download and run SPTD uninstaller from the below link.

http://www.duplexsecure.com/download/SPTDinst-v186-x64.exe

Run the tool and press Uninstall button to remove SPTD ( it seems to be the major contributor in your BSOD issue ).

2. Uninstall current version of Nvidia Video driver and it's components completely. Then download and install the latest driver from Drivers | GeForce

If the BSOD continues, please upload a new diagnostic report with next reply.

Hi

Let us try updating all outdated drivers.

1. Symantec Antivirus.

Currently installed version of your AV seems to be a bit old.

SYMEVENT64x86.SYS Thu May 24 06:22:24 2012 (4FBD8648)
Norton Internet Security
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=SYMEVENT64x86.SYS

SYMDS64.SYS Thu May 24 06:41:58 2012 (4FBD8ADE)
Symantec/ Norton NIS/ N360 driver
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=SYMDS64.SYS

I would suggest uninstalling current version of Norton Internet Security completely. If your licence period is not over, you can download and install the latest version from Free Virus Scan - Download Norton Internet Security Free Trial Software | Norton India. Then use your legal key to activate. Otherwise install free but robust Bitdefender free - Free Antivirus Software - Download Bitdefender Antivirus Free

2. Update LAN , WiFi and Bluetooth drivers.

a ) First download and save latest driver from http://download.msi.com/nb_drivers/lan/lan_bigfoot_e2200_e2205_8.0.2.42_0x8bb25817_8700.zip

b ) Then uninstall Killer Network Manager , Qualcom Atheroz Bluetooth and other related software completely ( make sure to disconnect all network connections ) and reboot the machine. Then download and run Killer Driver leaning Tool from http://qca.qualcomm.com/drivers/KillerCleaner_64bit.exe

c ) Now install the latest driver downloaded earlier.

3. Update remaining drivers.

Audio : Realtek

Touchpad : http://download.msi.com/nb_drivers/tp/touchpad_syn_16.2.10.12_al00.zip

This will update all third party drivers in your machine. If the BSOD continues, probably it will be a hardware issue rather than software.

It happen again, after I updated what you said, and now the computer freeze in random moments and go normal after a minute or two, will help if I update to windows 8.1?
I also did sfc /scannow at cmd, stopped at 16% and said that was unable to fix, I'm attaching the CBS log too.

So there is some system file corruptions which need to be fixed. First use the DISM command to fix component store corruptions.

Then use Windows update to install all updates - including the 8.1 update which includes several stability fixes. Let us see how the system works with 8.1.

Hi

All the new crash dumps shows varying stop codes and blames legit Windows files. I would suggest restoring Windows to factory condition. This will surely rule out any possible software issues and we can confirm whether the issue is OS related or not. Since a clean install means loosing all currently added programs/games, i hate to suggest it but i don't think we have another choice here.

I already tried to restore to factory condition, and did not help. If I instal another copy of Windows 8 might help?

If a factory restore can't solve BSOD, then it will be probably hardware related. Since your laptop is still under warranty, i highly recommend to submit it for replacement as soon as possible.
