BSOD Bad_Pool_Header possibly from Google Chrome

I bought my ASUS Q501L with Windows 8 last June and from the start I've had problems with it. At first I had problems connecting to the internet a lot and cannot get sound through the HDMI port.

Within the past couple months I've been getting BSOD for Bad_Pool_Header. This happens at least once a week. My Google Chrome starts freezing up and then crashes. After that, my internet won't connect and then Chrome won't even open. After waiting a little while, the BSOD pops up with the same error.

Attached is the Minidump.

Your last 4 dumpfiles all blames Kaspersky. Probably caused by klwfp.sys and kneps.sys.

Both these drivers are part of kaspersky . Kaspersky is known for causing problems when you have upgraded to windows. 8.1.
Mostly due older drivers who are not compatible.
Please uninstall (temporally) Kaspersky while troubleshooting and install windows defender and windows firewall.

Please first update all your drivers to the latest windows 8.1 compatible drivers from ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download Q501LA .

Second please update these older drivers. Note: Some may already been updated if you used the above Asus drivers update.
Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

I don't know if the hang on shutdown is related to your problems - but I wouldn't be surprised if it is.
Let's see what the BSOD stuff tells us. Then we'll fix it and see if that helps the shutdown.
If not, then we'll troubleshoot the shutdown process.

For starters:
At work we start all repairs with a set of diagnostics. Often they find problems that weren't even expected. It's a waste of time to try to fix software on a system that has hardware problems.
Please try these free diagnostics for starters: Initial Hardware Diagnostics
Also, please ensure that you have ALL available Windows Updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

Most of the memory dumps blame your Kaspersky. The most common reasons for this are:
- malware infection
- corruption of the Kaspersky system files

Uninstall the Kaspersky and enable Windows Defender and the Windows Firewall
Then try some of these free antivirus scans: Free Online AntiMalware Resources

If you're overclocking, please stop the overclock while we're troubleshooting. Feel free to resume the overclock once the system has been stabilized. i5 and i7 processors can be "auto-overclocked" by using Intel's TurboBoost feature. If so, it's safe to disregard this caution.
Processor may be overclocked!

Please note the drivers below that date from before the release of Windows 8.1 (17 Oct 2013) - check to see that each and every one is compatible w/Windows 8.1 (at the manufacturer's website). If not, you must either remove the device and it's software - or locate a Windows 8.1 compatible update on the web. Removing some drivers may make the system unstable - so if you're unable to find updates, post back for info on the one's that can/cannot be safely removed.
