Hi there,

I just bought a Lenovo Flex 14" and have been getting BSODs out of nowhere, usually after a while of surfing the net.

I thought the ram is flawed so I went back to the store for a new ram and the BSOD problem halted for a week but now it's coming back again.

I have attached the dump log using SR. Hope to get some help here soon! Thank you!

Your SF.zip does not have the dumpfiles inside, please run the diagnostic tool again till it is completed.
Notice:
1. If you have not already, then please follow this using step 6 there first: Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD

For my previous zip file, before using SF, I have already followed the instructions to create a small dump file. I checked the settings this time round and it stated the correct settings. I also realised something strange, that is when an BSOD occured, I have no option to reboot and I have to force shutdown using the power button. Does not able to reboot properly affect the dump file?

There are many different reasons that could cause the system not to collect a dump file.
The most obvious is that you may not have let it finish collecting info and may have forced the reboot before the dump file collection was finished.

As for the reports that you've submitted, they are incomplete. I'd suggest rerunning the data collection app and let it run for at least 15 minutes (or until the app itself says that it's done).

I think there are issues trying to get a dump file.
I used the command prompt and it stated failure as attached.

I get this message after every BSOD when attempting to reboot.

"Default Boot Device Missing or boot failed

Insert recovery media and hit any key
Then select boot manager to choose a new boot device to boot or recovery media."

There are less BSOD after uninstalling McAfee.

I'm not familiar with the wmic commands.
AFAIK, there's not anyone who specializes in troubleshooting failures of this sort.
If you want to start troubleshooting, here's a page on how dump files are generated (that I made up a while back): BSOD Crash Dump Generation

If the system doesn't recognize the hard drive at reboot, then there are a couple of places that the dump process may fail. Mostly I suspect it failing in the dump file creation (if the loss of the boot drive occurs during the crash) or during the reboot (the system may delete the temporary dump file as it's not configured properly).

How do you get the system back into Windows after a BSOD?

Have you rerun the data collection app and let it run for 15 minutes (or until the app itself says that it's done)?
If so, please upload that report with your next post.

Have you checked the C:\Windows\Minidump folder? What's in there?
Can you please zip up the contents (if any) and upload it with your next report.
